The morning started out beautifully! We were so happy that the awesome fall weather brought us lots of familiar faces that we haven’t seen in a while 💙
And then the rain came ⛈ Thank you to those who braved the storm to grab your cookies, we appreciate you! We held out as long as we could, but the downpour caused the entire market to close up shop a bit early and man did we get soaked! Nevertheless, chocolate chunk sold out as quickly as I’ve ever seen it, followed by s’mores and cinnamon roll.

We’re excited to offer our November flavors to you on November 14th, so mark those calendars- more details to come!

Finally, as you guys know we are supporting RK Bear Rescue this season. I had the opportunity to meet two of their beautiful souls, Abby and Chester, who are looking for their forever homes. Abby showered me with kisses and Chester kept pulling on her leg to try to get her to play. If you are looking to bring some of that wonderful dog energy into your world, these two would love to meet you!

The countdown is on to this Saturday, October 10th, in between the tracks! We had some fun and put a spooky spin on many of the cookies. From 8am-1pm you’ll have your opportunity to grab any that put a spell on you. 🪄✨

🎉 Today we want to celebrate the Tucson Wildlife Center and the incredible job that they do!

Have you ever come across an injured or orphaned wild animal? (One time we found an injured, blind, juvenile javelina that was separated from its family). It’s scary and stressful, but thankfully Tucson Wildlife Center is here to help EVERY DAY of the week all year round. Their commitment to rescuing, rehabilitating and returning animals to the wild is unmatched- and they see it all!

A massive thank you to the Tucson Wildlife Center for making such an incredible difference in our community! We hope you enjoy your well deserved cookies!

Thanks to everyone who came out to help us kick off the fall season! It felt great being back at the market, seeing you and, of course, selling cookies! The Mt. “Lemon”s sold out quickly, followed by chocolate chunk and orange creamsicle.

We’re looking forward to the next one on October 10th, where we’ll get to have some fun with a Halloween theme! More to come! 🎃

🎉Who's ready for some cookies?!?! The wait is over! It’s been a beautiful summer, but we’re ready to be back! 🎉

We’re kicking off our Fall season on Saturday September 12th from 7 a.m-noon at our normal spot in between the tracks. 13105 E. Colossal Cave Road. We are excited to share some new amazing flavors along with your favorite classics.

Now for this season’s difference dollar recipients! Remember, $1 from each cookie sold will help these amazing local non profits who are committed to making a difference in the lives of our local animals.

First up- RK Bear Rescue! This beautiful family started their journey by volunteering at Pima Animal Control. They quickly realized that even though pups were getting adopted, more just kept coming in. They decided to try to give our local shelters some relief by creating their own rescue! They built a small facility right here in Vail where they rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need! They raise money by recycling! They partner with local businesses to collect aluminum cans. They also accept large pieces of junk and scrap metal and turn it into cash at the scrap yard. (how cool is that!?) This family was not afraid to take on a new challenge and I think they are an awesome example of how you don’t have to be big to make a meaningful difference. 💪

Rounding out our donation recipients- You know them, you love them, it’s all your favorite animals at the Reid Park Zoo! We’re feeding money directly into their Animal Enrichment Fund, which buys fun new toys, sensory items and exhibit furniture to provide the animals with novel stimuli designed to invoke their natural behaviors. 🦁

We’re thrilled to get behind these organizations and send them some love! 💙

That’s a wrap!

It was a beautiful day to close a beautiful spring season. Thank you to everyone who came out today, we are so appreciative of you. If you were able to snag a Mt. “Lemon”, consider yourself lucky because those babies didn’t last long. Dark chocolate espresso, blueberry crumble and oatmeal butterscotch were right behind it.

We’ll report back soon with final difference dollar numbers! The jars looked plentiful!

Today I had the great pleasure of speaking about the Bake A Difference journey with Ron and Janay Arenas on their Southwest Flavor podcast! (How cool is that?!) They are both so easy to talk to, it was so much fun!

Janay suggested an orange creamsicle cookie. Turns out the flavor instincts are strong in that one! I'll leave that as a foreshadow for what the future holds :)
