Your father will say "Don't make a fuss." Ignore him.
He has spent decades perfecting the art of wanting nothing. Ask what he'd like for Father's Day, and he'll shrug. Ask where he wants to eat, and he'll say "anywhere's fine" — the three least true words in the English language.
After seventeen years of Father's Days, we know what the man who wants nothing actually wants: a long Sunday lunch. The whole family at one table. A dozen dishes arriving at once on one silver platter, so nobody negotiates the menu — and he will finish the lamb first and pretend he didn't.
This Sunday, June 21st, the Weekend Thali runs all day. $19.99 per person, vegetarian or non-vegetarian. We're open noon to 11 PM, so lunch can run as long as his stories do.
He fed you for years. Sunday, return the favor properly.
