Our story is what makes Macayo’s who we are. In 1946, founders Woody and Victoria Johnson opened the very first Macayo’s in Phoenix, creating a destination for quality, handcrafted Mexican food and family traditions.

Over the years, Macayo’s has become part of countless Arizona memories, celebrations, and family gatherings.

For the past 80 years, we’ve been incredibly proud to serve the Valley, and we’re grateful to every guest, team member, and family who has been part of our story.
