Alba Cake Design was founded when Alba moved to Austin, TX after more than 8 years making delicious desserts and cakes back in her home country Venezuela. Since Alba was a little girl always loved baking and designing. Her path to making cakes began back in 2007 in Venezuela, when she chanced upon her grandmother’s old notebooks from her cake decorating classes. After returning from a trip to Lon
don and visiting the famous Fiona Cairns Bakery, she saw an opportunity for decorating Cupcakes and Cookies with delicate sugar details and elaborate flowers. She also started creating gorgeous dessert tables for different types of celebrations and weddings. The desserts proved to be a huge hit, and it wasn’t long before the business grew, and Alba began making beautiful, and unique wedding cakes. Having studied engineering, and design for many years, she has always had a design approach to cake decorating, with the aim to carve her own path in the industry. She approaches each cake design as an individual piece of art, and her background as baker and designer shines through in all of her creations.
