Boeuf Bourguignon
Julia Child’s most recognizable recipe.
Also a recipe that you can’t take short cuts on.
A rich wine based beef dish, full of mushrooms, pearl onions, carrots, fresh herbs and frankly lots of Thyme (time).
This will be served over a generous portion of creamy mashed potatoes.

An Autumn Salad will accompany this meal to get everyone in the mood for fall.
A Romaine Spring mix with red onion, dried cranberries, candied pecans, Artigiano Cheese with Blood Orange and our own Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Let us know which day you want your meal Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Let us know who will be picking up the order, how many orders you need. We also need a contact phone number. To ensure you receive a meal you must pre-order. Orders need to be placed at least a day prior of pick up. Meals can be picked up from 10:30 am and 2:00 pm on the day you’ve selected.
We will reply with a confirmation message to verify that we received your order. Don’t forget the bakery has plenty of fresh baked breads and desserts to complete your meal.

It’s Thursday and for our Special today we are offering the Cordon Bleu Sandwich. It comes on a house roll with mayo, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato, Chicken, ham and is topped with Swiss cheese! Our soup of the day will be the popular Cabbage Roll.

On a side note, we are all mourning the loss of queen Dolly as well as Tim Curry and Peter Cullen. They will be missed!

This meal was a once in a blue moon occurrence in my childhood home, perhaps that’s why we loved it so much. Even the aroma of the Andouille sausage, chicken and shrimp in the well seasoned broth mixed with tomatoes, the trinity of vegetables and tender rice would make us kids behave a little better, sometimes clean our room without being told.

I’m so excited to once again grab some crusty bread and that first steaming spoonful of childhood comfort. Miss you momma.
