Message from DPW Commissioner Anthony Vainieri:
DPW crews have been out working throughout the Township since 5 a.m. clearing our streets to make them passable.
Salt inventory throughout the state is limited. Our salt inventory should get us through this storm.
North Bergen’s hills and emergency routes will be salted. Flat surface street will be plowed as usual and not salted until Monday, Jan. 26.
❄️Please stay off the roads and let DPW do their job.
❄️Please do not park on the corners, as our trucks cannot make the turns.
❄️Please do not shovel the snow onto the street as it will just turn to ice as temperatures remain freezing.
