Bottom line, in this case, we don't focus on the cone, as we're watching all the rain way out to it's east. Tropical Storm Arthur, which doesn't have much energy, is about to lose even more this evening. The forecast cone is no longer over Mississippi, as the tropical system will fizzle long before it gets here. But...as I've been saying the last couple of days on tv, the storm's track doesn't mean much here bc the rain is what I'm watching. Some places on Thursday will see a day much like today with sunshine, but where it rains, tropical downpours could create flash flooding in a hurry so stay weather aware.
