As always, we remember when we first opened the restaurant on April 10, 2004. What a crazy night that was. The church was full of hungry happy guests. Our staff handled the madness with ease and we were ecstatic that so many people showed up. Thank you to all for those wonderful 4 years of Holy Smokes BBQ & Whole Hog House in Hatfield. We have some wonderful memories!

Every year, when April 10th rolls around, we can't help but think of restaurant and opening day! Such bittersweet memories of a place gone before it's time. We all feel that we have to still thank all of our amazing staff and the loyal customers (who still hangout on our page). Thank you! 😢

If anyone is attending the TriCounty Fair between 2PM and 7 PM, visit the music tent for a Musical Rememberance of Ed Vadas, who passed away in the Spring. PapaLu will be playing his washtub base.

We are so happy to post about our new venture. Saw Mill Shrubbery has been born. Our first release is Cranberry Apple for the holiday season. It makes a great mixed drink with hard alcohols, a tasty "Shrublini" with Prosecco and can be used in all kinds of other recipes. We received this email today. We are so blessed to have been a part of so many people's memories! Thank you for thinking of us and Happy Anniversary!

"Hey guys, hope you are doing well! We finally finished off the last bottle of 666 that we had sealed and ferreted away. It went in the making of some apple wood smoked ribs and a peach glaze, and was splendid. It was also a sad day, as it will be the last year we can get some holy smokes on our anniversary. 5 years is a pretty good tradition though, so thanks for bring a part of our fond memories, and if you ever feel like sharing any recipes, let me know."
