Today is World Mental Health Day, and we wanted to take a moment to talk to our community.

So much of what makes this community special is the people in it, the ones who show up, who support each other, and who show kindness in small ways every day. That same kindness matters just as much when it comes to how we treat ourselves and how we check in on the people we love.

If you’re carrying something heavy right now, you are not alone in it. If today is a hard day, that’s okay, hard days don’t mean you’re failing, they just mean you’re human. And if you’re doing okay, take a moment to reach out to someone who might not be, sometimes a simple “how are you, really?” means more than we realize.

We’ve included some local resources for anyone who needs support, because no one in this community should ever have to face a hard moment alone.

Be gentle with yourself today. Be gentle with each other. That’s the kind of community we want to be.

The Carefree Quail is popping up at the Craft District with handmade pottery you’ll actually want to use, mugs, vessels, and one-of-a-kind pieces made through a high-fire process that’s food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

Fun fact: their unglazed pieces use a process called nucleation, which releases oxygen into your drink and helps bring out subtle flavors, so yes, your w**e actually tastes better out of one of these. Stop by, shop handmade, and see the craft up close.
