Congrats Mary Shanon!

During her time with Resonance, Mary Shanon successfully completed Helping Women Recover, graduated from welding school at Tulsa Technology Center, and secured full-time employment in the welding field!

For Mary Shanon, her greatest accomplishment is simple: “Not going back to the old me and that way of life.” Now, as she begins her new career, she says, “Thanks to Resonance, I am not surviving...I am absolutely flourishing!”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Stacked Deck | Open Doors and helped make it such a special evening for Resonance Center for Women!

A huge thank you to our incredible chairs, Mark & Dedra Phillips, our ACES, and our amazing committee for helping bring new faces to Resonance and sharing our mission with your friends and networks.

And thank you to TPC for helping bring our vision for the evening to life!

The night was a beautiful celebration of all we’ve accomplished this past year — from expanding housing to growing Take 2 — and all that lies ahead as we approach Resonance’s 50th anniversary in 2027.

Two Take 2 program graduates - who are now part of the Resonance team - got a first taste of the new café, and we couldn’t help but reflect on what a full-circle moment this was.

From participating in the Take 2 program to building their careers and working alongside us at Resonance, their journeys are a beautiful reminder of what second chances, opportunity and support can make possible!

Tulsa is a community that shows up! You volunteer, give, encourage and believe in second chances. Because of your support, women in our community have opportunities to build skills, find stability, and create a new path forward.

Every partner, donor, employer, volunteer, and friend who stands beside our mission is part of that impact.

We’re getting closer and closer to opening our doors to the public, and our clients are hard at work getting ready! This week and next, they’re putting their skills into action through a series of soft openings - gaining hands-on experience in the new kitchen, learning the flow of the café and building confidence with every meal served.
