Join us tonight!

There are currently almost 150 detainees in David L Moss Criminal Justice Center, ranging from 18-78 years old. Although our jail works with ICE via the 287(g) agreement, in which police departments can transfer individuals in their custody to ICE custody, 10 of the current detainees in Tulsa have no criminal charges.
We have all seen the videos and read the stories of the conditions some of the detainees endure, with the majority of violations still unknown.

We know that changing the modern attitudes towards immigration is a long shot. But we are committed to sharing a nonviolent, bipartisan approach to change, focused on dignity, quality of life, and love, starting with the detainees in our own county jail.

Abide in Love Tulsa is sponsoring a letter writing meeting June 11 at 6:30 at Martin Regional Library. Come join us in writing letters to detainees to remind them of their inherent worth as fellow human beings.

All supplies will be provided. However, you are also welcome to donate stamps, envelopes, and copy paper as well as materials like pens or stickers you may have laying around the house :)
