It's been some time since I've posted on our Facebook and it seemed like a good time to reconnect with everyone since Thanksgiving is coming next week and it's a good time to count your blessings. It's also a good time to give back, which ties into another reason I wanted to post. Sara is currently working at Williams Sonoma in Utica Square and today, Saturday, and tomorrow they have baked goods available for sale to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital. The employees there provide them so I've baked some Ginger Biscotti and Chocolate Cupcakes with Mascarpone Cream Cheese Frosting for them to add to all the other wonderful items they've baked. If you can find the time drop by and get yourself a treat and say hello to Sara and all the other wonderful employees there. Perhaps you need a few items to make your Thanksgiving meal go a little easier. I know everyone there will be happy to help you out. And in the spirit of giving I'll post a recipe this next week from the tea room. Cheers!

Sorry to say that the tea room is empty now and we will miss the times spent with our customers here. When we opened, Jennifer handled the front and often had her son Henry in a high chair behind the counter. Melanie took over from her and then Vladimir. I know many of you still remember both of them. Then came Shannon and finally Marcus whose artwork also graced our walls. Our first two servers were Stacey and Virginia who helped to set the tone for how much we cared about our customers which carried through over the years to Nita and then Christie, who was there until the end. Although we never haven't been involved in the cooking, we've been lucky over the years to have had some help. Some have stood out over the years with the treats they have left behind, such as Genyse's Raspberry Almond Cookies and Walnut Bread Pudding. Zachariah's contributions are too numerous to mention but include his Irish Stout Cheesecake and a Smoked Trout Soup to die for. (Just a heads up, Zach is at the Coffee House on Cherry Street now if you need a sweet treat.). At the end we were pleased to share La Donna's Navajo Tacos with you. Through all the years, beginning with Stacey's mother Karen and ending with Jason, our dishwashers helped to keep everything running, doing what I find the hardest job in the restaurant. We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work. And we cannot say enough about what a privilege it was to serve our customers over the years. Thank you all. The combination of everyone has made the Dragonmoon an unforgettable experience for both Sara and myself. I will continue to post as we determine what path we'll take in the future. Sweet treats to you all.

We are getting close to the end of being in the Dragonmoon building so this may be the last posting of items for sale but here's what we have for pick up this week :

To place orders you need to call Sara at 918-728-4626. You do need to order ahead as we cook according to the orders we have. This may be your last chance to order as we turn the building back to the landlord on August 31st. Cheers.

We still have some items available for sale at discounts up to about 60% on some items but at least 40%. Sara will be at the tea room from 2:00 until 5:00 today and noon till 5:00 tomorrow if there is something you are interested in. There will be Soup and quiche available for pick up to go tomorrow as well. If you want Baked Chocolate Pudding you need to put and order in today for tomorrow. As of the 31st of August we will no longer have possession of the building so if you want anything you should call to place orders next week.
