🦃 OUR TRADITION: Health, Faith, Family, and Claud’s Hamburgers 😉 are a few of the words we’ve written on our “Thankful Pumpkin” this year.

This is our family tradition. Each year we buy an extra pumpkin at Halloween that we don’t carve but use to count our blessings in the month leading up to Thanksgiving. Each night we write one word on there. Some are serious, some are silly, but they’re all meaningful to us. It’s a fun way to truly count your blessings in this season of gratitude. Then we use our pumpkin as our centerpiece on Thanksgiving.

99 years ago today September 9, 1923 in Clarks, Louisiana this man was born. He would eventually start making his way by hitching rides and working from town to town with the idea of living in California. By making his way to Tulsa he planned to move to California via Route 66. Move along a few years later he’s met his bride and started a family here in Tulsa. In 1954 he opened Claud’s Hamburgers and his tradition still goes on today. We’re sure glad Tulsa became his home.
