Things have gotten controversial in the cookie contest. We’ve seen pollsters rise from polite patrons to passionate partisans. Some customers are on the verge of becoming outright cookie monsters. Tensions soar such that I’ve some fear that a food fight could break out any moment. Nonetheless, this contentious cookie competition continues. With just over 3 weeks to go before one of these cookies is done-zo, here are the latest numbers.

ONE OF THESE COOKIES MUST GO.
There just ain’t room in this here pastry case for the both of them. We’ve been baking up your two favorite cookies for over a decade, and I know you’ve grown to love and expect their sweet goodness, appropriately paired with the week’s featured single-origin americano. But one of these cookies must go. From today until Labor Day, we’ll be tracking sales of each: chocolate chip vs monster cookie. Whichever sells the most, stays. You don’t have to be present to vote. Go online and cast your support for one or the other. Every vote counts (no hanging chips... er chads in this poll).

I love furniture, and I’ve always aimed to design/build all my own stuff. I’ve done that with some of the tables at DoubleShot. But recently I teamed up with to build a couple new chairs. They’re mostly steel, with wooden arms I sawed down from walnut slabs. Best seats in the house? I don’t know, but they’re pretty sweet.

Bring in an old pair of jeans and they’ll recycle them for you; and they’ll give you a $20 coupon that’s good to use for a new pair at their store in Utica Square.
