Good morning, it is our pleasure to offer meals to those experiencing hunger. We welcome visitors anytime between 11am-9pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturday after 5pm and Sunday starting at noon. Our standard community meal features a rice and beans burrito served with chips and salsa. However, our menu will undergo weekly changes. To receive your meal, kindly request the community meal. You can find us at 722 N. Stone Ave near University Blvd. Please just stop in, no need to call ahead, walk in and ask for your❤️ meal. La Indita was featured in this post for Visit Tucson, we are so happy that La indita was chosen especially because of the topic, it was nice to be able to share our story relating to to Móle. Maria Garcia “La Indita” shared her memory of when she was a little girl and my grandfather Andres Magaña would ask her to make Móle for him because she was considered the best. She would pick Cacao beans herself in the jungle of Michoacan Mexico. I’m so proud to say that my mother “La Indita” has passed on the tradition to my daughters and I.

Diane Keaton visits our restaurant in 1997, I couldn’t believe she was sitting at booth 9, I wanted to take a picture with her and tell her how much I loved her films and how much I admired her as an actor. Instead I took her order just like any other customer coming through. I realize now that it was the best thing I could have done since she was probably always followed by paparazzi. She ordered the chicken pan fried tacos and when they arrived at her table, she took all the ingredients out of the taco and ate just the shell that was packed with all the flavor. I always think of her when I eat our chicken tacos. Today I read that she passed away. My heart is sad. She is one of the great ones. Diane will be missed here at La Indita and on the big screen. We love you and wish you a good journey into the great mystery!
