Welp, that's a wrap! The Pit is closed at 22nd and Pantano. We are relocating and rebranding Truck To Table at our new location 3333 E Grant Rd, Tucson. Construction is currently under way, we anticipate our opening date to be in the spring 2024. With the relocation we will be able to add even more food trucks, have a huge indoor dining space and full far, create a fully landscaped outdoor area for games and gatherings, as well as many more perks for customers and food trucks. Our time on the Eastside has been amazing and the neighborhood support (in our opinion) aligned with our mission of bringing the community together through food. We want to say thanks to everyone who visited and made our little spot a regular stop. Special thanks to Mediterranean, Samurai Sombrero, Tacos Hermano, Cuppa Gogo, Cool Runnings, Messylicious, OMG Sweets Shop, Sweet Rolls, Eggroll Masters, Bemos, Monchos Mexican, Jozarelli's, The Sweet Coquí, Rae's (Fat noodle), Good Eats, Special Eats, Biggie Boy BBQ, Off The Hook Seafood, The Curry Pot, CPS Wings, Charly's BBQ & Grill, CowPig Food Truck, Mortys Backyard, 520Taco Stop, Doshirock, Fatboy Sandos, Irene's Icecream, Dukes Pizza, Sexy Grilled Cheese, Planet of the Crepes Tucson. and all of the other food trucks that visited our lot. We also want to say thank you to the local KGUN 9 On Your Side, Tucson Foodie, This Is Tucson, Arizona Daily Star, and other news outlets that covered our journey. See you all in a few months.
Happy New Year!

The Pit location at 22nd and Pantano will be winding down and closing by 12/31/2023. Our new location and rebrand Truck to Table is set to open this Spring at 3333 E Grant Rd. We are currently under construction and many current food trucks will be joining us at this location as well as new food trucks for a total of 12. We would have loved to stay on the Eastside but the property owner went in a different direction, transitioning the space into a gas station. During this period you can find the trucks through their pages and follow our progress on social media. We can't wait to see everyone again in the spring. Please stop by on Saturday to say goodbye, grab some food and beer, and celebrate the holidays with us. See the linked post by KGUN 9 On Your Side for all the details.

Eastside's food truck park "The Pit" is having to close after the owner of the property on 22nd Street and Pantano Road decided to lease to another tenant.

UPDATE!!! Over 3500 people signed our petition to amend and update food truck zoning codes in Tucson. Nearly a year in the works, Development and Zoning has proposed language ready for the final stages before it's adopted. On Tuesday 8/15 there will be two online sessions where the community may add input. This will be done in two sessions via Zoom. Anyone may join to voice their support. Please see the notice in the link.

PDSD has begun the public outreach process to amend the City’s zoning ordinance to address the location and development standards for food truck courts following direction from Mayor and Council.

It's that time of year to nominate Tucson's Best through the Arizona Daily Star. The Pit doesn't really fit into any category, we are hoping to be nominated in Best Locally Owned Restaurant. All of the food trucks deserve first place (in our opinion) Best Food Truck. Take a minute to click the link and vote for The Pit and your favorite food truck.

Your favorite criminal enterprise, is being forced to close. It’s no secret we have been trying to come to an agreement with Tucson zoning and finance to try and figure out how to proceed. There is pre-existing code that prevents food trucks from gathering and city code that requires a development package if property changes use … even if you’re not developing or building anything. The only way this can change is for people to demand it. As this is heartbreaking for our family, and a huge loss of sunk costs and income, it’s a bigger problem for all of the trucks and people who depend on our little organization to survive. There will be more information to come soon, but in the meantime here’s how you can help. In our Linktree in the bio you can 1. Sign the petition 2. Donate towards the development package and food trucks 3. Come buy a S**t ton of beer at 50% off to liquidate 4. Come help clear the lot Saturday and Sunday so we don’t incur fines 5. Email your city council office, the mayor’s office, or zoning. Please share with your friends and family.

On Wednesday, January 11, after months of working with the city, the lot near Skate Country and Pantano Road has been ordered to immediately close.
