Oh my heart...
What a beautiful night...a beautiful community.
and I'm not talking about the towns appearance, architecture, cleanliness, I'm talking about the people. The fact that so many came out to be a part of the community.
I am so thrilled that this many people showed up. It was tough to count but all in all I would say around 100 people. It was a perfect size. Not so many that would have made it hard to manage, and not too few that would have made it not worthwhile and disappointing. It was just right.
People of all ages, grandparents, aunts uncles, moms and dads, teens and lots of kids.
Could not have asked for better weather. Not too hot that made it uncomfortable or provided the right environment for a lot of bugs. Not too cold that would have made it uncomfortable but just right.
The kind words of thanks, appreciation were many but I have to give credit where credit is due.
The people that make this happen are the patrons and fans of Building 9. It is also an amazing staff that provides amazing service and incredible food. Without them none of this is possible. So thank you to our patrons, and incredible, hard working staff for allowing us to give back to the community. ❤️❤️❤️
Some highlights:
Chief Wilbirt stopped by to give a young lady a stuffed animal to watch the movie with.
Officer Wizel stopped in at the end to make sure the crosswalk was safe.
Cousins playing with each other.
Families spending time together.
Teenagers not on social media.
Not one cell phone was out. Except mine to take pics.
A well groomed lawn. Thank you borough staff.
Some young entrepreneurs had to wait on their math teacher, the pressure was on😁
I have an incredible wife, mother and Nonni that guided me into making the right decision on how to do it. ❤️
An incredible staff showed up, on their own, some working a 12-hour shift to help clean up. On their own without being asked and off the clock. ❤️
The "Thelma & Louise" truck drivers were able to come through town without their Jake brakes.
Little boys with loud toys were silent. Rice burners and jacked up trucks with annoying exhaust.
I'll probably have to delete the last 2 when my PR crew wakes up.😳😁🤣😜
