🌥️💔 FRIDAY, AUGUST 7 — SUN & CLOUDS, OUR FINAL FRIDAY IN TROY

Today’s sky feels like the mood inside this little Cajun kitchen — a mix of sun and clouds, warm air, and a heaviness that’s hard to put into words.
This is one of our last few days open in Troy, and every plate we serve carries a little bit of goodbye in it.

The crew is moving slower this morning.
Chef’s at the fryers with that quiet focus he gets when something matters.
The laughter is softer. The kitchen smells the same — like home, like comfort, like Louisiana warmth — but the air feels different.
We’re cooking through the final chapter.

📍 412 West Locust
🕚 Open 11 AM • Bar ‘til 10PM

🍽️ TODAY’S LINEUP:
- 3 Chicken Tenders — simple comfort on a hard Friday. $7.99
- Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap — a little sunshine wrapped up on a cloudy day. $6.99
- Fried Chicken Sandwich Combo — familiar crunch when everything else feels uncertain. $10.99
- 2‑Piece Fried Chicken Dinner with Cajun dirty rice — the kind of plate that’s fed this town since day one. $9.99

🌟 DINNER SPECIAL (After 3PM):
🦞 Crawfish Étouffée — warm, bold, and bittersweet tonight. $16.99
🦞 Lobster Ravioli with crawfish queso — rich, comforting, and part of our final run. $16.99

These last days are heavy.
We’ve cooked for birthdays, storms, celebrations, quiet nights, and long weeks.
We’ve fed families, friends, strangers who became regulars, and regulars who became family.

If you stop by today, know that we’re grateful — deeply.
Come hungry, come with memories, come help us close this chapter with love.

This is Anita Adams the front of the house owner. There is another QR code in the comments to if u dont have cash app. This is very hard for me to even post and ask for any kind of help cause I usually figure things out myself but this time I can't seem to figure it out and I don't know what else to do. I need help to save my parents house and my house. I can't lose my parents house my mom has lived in it her whole life basically. I know the economy is hard right now for everyone. I just need a guardian angel.

Unless someone can help me sell the restaurant turn key ready has everything u need to run a restuarant. Alot of new equipment we just purchased. Unless they want the building for something else. With the equipment 200,000 to 220,000 and without the equipment 180,000. If u want the llc, restaurant, liquor license, food truck and the wrapped jeep 300,000 for everything.

💔 With a Heavy Heart — Cajun Food Coma Is Closing Its Doors
It’s with a heavy heart that we share something we never imagined writing. After years of cooking, laughing, serving, storytelling, and feeding this community we love, we will be closing the doors on Cajun Food Coma in Troy.
Sunday, August 9th will be our last day of service — unless we sell out the last of our stock before then.
Once the coolers are empty and the pots run dry, that’ll be the final chapter for this little Cajun kitchen.
This little restaurant has been more than a business — it’s been family. It’s been birthday dinners, first dates, rainy‑day comfort meals, crab‑leg celebrations, and countless moments where Kansas met Louisiana and made magic together. Every plate, every smile, every “Chef, that was fire,” meant the world to us.
Thank you for showing up, for supporting us, for believing in what we built, and for letting Cajun Food Coma become part of your lives. We are forever grateful for the love this town poured into our kitchen.
This isn’t goodbye to the spirit, the recipes, or the heart behind Cajun Food Coma — just a closing of this chapter in Troy.

From our family to yours: thank you for everything.
