September is (basically) upon us, so here's our tentative schedule for the month! 🥰
Our new hours start tomorrow, 7am-2pm Monday-Thursday, and 7am-5pm on Fridays. We have a ton of things going on this month on Saturdays with XC and the golf tournament, so we'll make up for our missed ones next month - and I have some fun specials planned 😉
The 3rd week of September, I'll be in DC with KFB, so Hunter will have the shop open from 7-8 each morning. I've heard his coffee is better than mine, so stop by and let me know - who's is better?
Our plan is to have the trailer at the home football games this fall to support the team. We donate a portion of our sales from sports events to the athletic fund and can't wait to continue to do that this fall with football and cross country!
Biscuits and Gravy Wednesdays will continue as well - I'm excited to start rolling out some fall baked goods in the coming weeks so hopefully the weather will get the memo and shift that way too 🍂

It’s hard to believe but Tuesday, August 25th will officially be Rocking H Coffee’s first birthday! 🎉 We’ve had some highs and some lows but I’m loving this season of life more than ever.
To celebrate, Tuesday will be our first ever Fill-a-Tray special, get 4 Large hot or iced lattes for $25 or 4 Medium hot or iced lattes for $19. (Buy 3 get one free)
In addition, every raffle entry from our previous post will be doubled! If you bring one item, you’ll get two entries into the raffle.
Tag your gang of 3 that you’d share a tray of lattes with and I’ll pick one group to get their tray on us!

As a thank you to the ladies that kept us open this summer, we’re hosting a double raffle next week to help supply them with the things they need on their next adventures!
To enter, bring one of their requested items to the coffee shop by Thursday, August 27th and your name will be put into the pot for the respective raffle. Two winners will be drawn from each pot for a $25 gift card to the coffee shop or a dozen cinnamon rolls, which means there’s 4 chances to win!

This is going to be a longer one but I need thoughts and opinions from the folks that mean the most - you guys!
Over the next couple weeks I will lose both of the gals that have held it down at the coffee shop while I have been figuring out this new stage of life - one is headed back to college and the other will be welcoming her own little one.
With that, looking at sales trends from last fall and winter, and wanting to still be able to spend time with our sweet Whitley girl, moving back to reduced hours makes the most sense but I want your input before I make a final decision.
Option 1 keeps us closed on Mondays but open until 5 on Wednesdays and Fridays. My rationale here is that we would be open 1 school day later into the afternoon but I don’t like how this is more inconsistent and could be hard to follow.
Option 2 would open us back up on Mondays and be open later into the afternoons on only Fridays. Mondays were consistently slower before but I’ve had folks ask about us being open again on Mondays.
Or I’m open to other thoughts, too. Maybe open later on Thursdays would be better than Wednesdays?

I promise this will be the last time we switch things up. I want to get on a consistent schedule of our business hours but there will always be things that we will learn along the way, this was one of them. Let me know your thoughts - I seriously want to hear them. If it weren’t for you guys, we wouldn’t be here and we want to serve you in the best way possible. I so greatly appreciate the support as I’ve navigated being a business owner, boss, and mom all at the same time. I know there’s been times I’ve fallen short in one (or usually all) areas but I’ll get it figured out eventually. Thank you for showing grace because we all know that a little bit of that goes a long way 🤍

Unfortunately, when I got to the shop this morning, I found that at some point over the weekend one of our freezers died, losing all of our prepped breakfast burrito mix and biscuit sandwiches. We will work on getting more made but for at least today we will not have any breakfast burritos or biscuit sandwiches. I am so sorry for the inconvenience!

The bakery shelf is full this morning and the only thing missing is the brownies that are chilling so they can be cut 😋 We’re easing into fall with week’s lineup: Cinnamon rolls with maple frosting, apple cinnamon scones, monster cookies, coffee cake, and brownies.

I’m also introducing sampler boxes for when you want a little bit of everything - to share, of course 😉 These will be available on a limited basis, this week we’re starting with 2 boxes.
