We are hiring cooks immediately.
Every time I post looking for cooks, I get the same exact response.
How much does it pay? I want to take a moment and give you a detailed explanation of my answer.
We pay based on experience and interview.
We DO NOT have a set rate that every team member starts at. Why??
First of all the interview is incredibly important. Why?
Building a positive uplifting culture is important to me.
Example: Yesterday we closed because my leadership team got married. I thought it was incredibly important for the team to be there vs having to balance the business.
Does that make business sense to close on a Saturday? It does not. But taking care of your people is far too important than a day of sales.
Plus I have also found that experience does not always equal success.
I hired a team member with 20 years of cooking experience. This specific team member argued with our team every single day, refused training and told us that how we were doing everything was 100% wrong. I kindly asked them to outline specifics as to what they saw so that I could take it into consideration since they were bringing so many years of experience to the job. They told me they would share that information with me if I fired my KM and immediately appointed them to be the KM.
I promoted them to the "guest" position.

Our starting pay is above industry standards and above what the other restaurants start team members at IMO.

BUT.....what we pay is NOT a one size fits all.
We need hard working, positive, happy, reliable, guest focused team members who love working, want to work in a location that actually likes each other AND likes providing an amazing guest experience for EVERYONE!!!

In conclusion: We are hiring cooks. The ONLY way you will know what our pay rate is, is to come in, fill out an application and interview with us.

Just because you have or do not have experience does not mean you will or will not be hired. We need to make sure that your attitude, effort and experience match what we are looking for.
(And yes we call references)
