🍪These Mini Double Chip Dream Cookies were a huge hit today when I made them for the kiddos. 😍

They are so soft and very good...and I don't usually even like chocolate chip anything.

I'll be making another few batches this week. Who wants to claim a box for $10? 👀

On Saturday, I'll be meeting in the following locations:

📍Trenton - 12pm
📍Milan - 12:30pm
📍Humboldt - 1pm

Or you can pick up in the Brazil area if you need another day or time.

❤️ CANDYLAND SWEETS IS STAYING OPEN! ❤️

After a lot of thought, prayer, and hearing from several of my loyal customers — along with meeting so many new customers — I’ve made my decision…

I just can’t quit. 🥹❤️

There’s no way I can walk away from something that means this much to me.

Opening and running a bakery has been a dream of mine since I was very young. I absolutely LOVE baking, creating new things, and most of all, seeing the smiles and excitement from my customers when they get their orders. 😍

And my kids… they LOVE seeing the orders come in too! 😂❤️ They especially love that I always make a little extra so they can have their favorites on hand. Being able to build something that they get to watch grow means more to me than I can explain.

I know I will definitely have to make some changes along the way, due to health issues that I'm now facing. Things may look a little different, and I may have to adjust how I do things, but I’m not giving up on this dream.

The love and support you all have shown me has reminded me exactly why I started in the first place.

So here we go… Candyland Sweets is staying OPEN! 🎉❤️

With God’s help, my faith, and all of you, we can make this happen!

Thank you to every single person who has supported me, ordered from me, encouraged me, shared my posts, told a friend, or simply reminded me that Candyland Sweets is worth fighting for.

I love baking. I love my customers. And I’m so excited to see what God has in store for Candyland Sweets. 🙏❤️

I said I'd post photo, whether good or bad.

Taste is very good....it isn't dense at all (which was my main concern). But the crust was pretty hard. It didn't stop my hubby though. He's already eaten half the loaf. 🤷‍♀️🤣

I did, however, contact my girl at SR Sourdough Micro Bakery and found out what I did wrong.

I do think I'll be trying another recipe within a day or two though, just to see which I like best...or which the hubby likes best I guess.

And the bread is out of the oven!!

We shall see this afternoon/evening, when we slice into it, how it turned out! 👀🤞

Yes, I'll have pics whether good or bad. 🤷‍♀️

Milkshake is showing all the signs of being ready to bake. 😍

So, I have found a recipe that I'm going to start with. The dough is made and resting now. It still won't be ready to actually bake til in the morning.

I now know why sourdough bread makers sell for $12-$15. This is a LONG process. Lol. But if recipe works, this will be worth it.

First loaf will just be a plain classic loaf, while testing the recipe.

If this recipe is a success, I'll be a making Jalapeño Cheddar loaf within a couple days. ❤️

🍰 OKAY… LET'S SETTLE THIS.

If you could have ONE Candyland Sweets treat on September 19th…

WHAT ARE YOU PICKING?!
🍫 Brownie Nachos
🍫 Individual Brownie (and what flavor)
🍭 Cake Balls (and what flavor)
🥜 Peanut Butter Balls
🍓 Cheesecake Cup
❤️ Something else?

I’m planning for the FINAL EVENT before closing, so I need to know what everybody is hoping to see!
