Catch me walking around singing "Return of the Mack" at top volume and ask me to make this for you.
I've been asked more than a few times for our Mac and cheese, and I'll go one better with this decided upgrade:
Rich, perfectly medium to mild spice Hatch Chiles, Leelenau Cheese black truffle fromage blanc, bacon, cheddar, richly caramelized onions; you can just taste the love. And feel it, too, once you take a bite; coursing through you. You'll probably start dancing, and the song will be by Mark Morrison:
"OoOoooo, come on now! Oooo yeah! Return of the Mack, there it is! A once again!"

Yeah, I'm making this post again. Why haven't you come in for a hatch burger yet? It'll be October, and you'll realize you missed this, maybe you still have never tried a hatch chile, and you'll remember this moment; the way it could have gone but didn't. The regret of the food you missed will haunt you.
I don't want that for you, so I've provided our updated specials menu, and I promise more to come.

After all the excitement, the preparation, the anticipation, the night came and went, and it was beautiful.
If you were there, thank you. I'm glad we can share that memory. I know I'll think back on this often.
What you see here was from my phone, which was dying, and I didn't catch every act.
My videographer did, though, including (yes) the Bboy set where Leif's lil girl tried out some breakdancing on her birthday. I loved that moment. To me, that's Acorn Kitchen: a wholesome hiphop show where hip people show the next generation the way.
And it was wholesome, and that is because of you all. You kept it that way, and I am so proud.
Thank you so much for coming to enjoy this with me. Thank you for respecting the space and the staff.
I'd be proud to host you again. Please, stay tuned for what's next, and come in to eat sometimes, will ya?

This is like freaking food Christmas for me. I bought so many hatch chilies. I'm going to eat most of them, but you can have some too.
What you see here is the first wave of a few hatch chili menus to come. If you haven't had a hatch chile, come have a hatch chili. They are like the very best pepper to ever be a pepper, and they are good on all the stuff, which is why we are making sure you have the option to add one to any of your regular menu items in addition to our many hatch-centered offerings.
