🏆 And the award for Ultimate Flower Survivor goes to… Mission Galactica!

We totally neglected to clean up our dahlia flat lay from September 24th, and nature turned our laziness into an accidental endurance competition. 😅

While every other variety turned into soggy mush after 10 days left out on the picnic table in the pouring rain, wind, cold nights, and warm days, this absolute warrior is still holding onto most of her petals today. Not her most flattering photo but still impressive!

Talk about serious vase-life goals!

This dahlia is called Maarne (Sylvia). She's not a unicorn, easy to find, inexpensive, not fussy, makes plenty of tubers, sturdy stems, and has the most lovely sherbet hue perfect for fall arrangements. 🧡🍂

Scrolling through flower photos on a rainy day and found this one. This exact butterfly probably pollinated the seed pods from our previous post. This dahlia is called Orange Hype, and I know I harvested this exact stem for that bundle. How cool is that?!

Not everyone was blooming in time for flat lays, but eventually we'll get around to labeling these with variety names 🥰

I asked Eyvonne what the really dark red one is in the middle of her picture (grey background) and she said "oh that's The Grim, you know, that super dark seedling you made me keep at the end of the row."

Well, I guess we have a name picked out for that one. 😅😂
