When we gathered earlier this year for Tim Bergstrom's fundraiser Bergstrom's Burgers, it served as an unforgettable kick-off to the summer season. Looking out at the crowd, it was a powerful reflection of what this community stands for. Together—through event profits, direct cash contributions, and a remarkable $10,000 matching grant—we raised a total of $21,500+.
That momentum carried us through the summer months. However, as the air turns crisp and the season transitions into fall, we want to share an important reminder: while the calendar changes, some situations stay the same.
Medical bills and treatment costs are continuous and persistent. The financial weight doesn't disappear when the event ends or when a new season begins, and healthcare expenses accumulate far beyond initial treatment.
