Good afternoon and happy Thursday beautiful people! I hope all of yalls week is winding down smoothly. Later post then usually today, but it was kind of intentional. As I've said, Thursdays are my busy mornings, where I run errands and pick and some things we need for the week around the shop. So I figured I'd wait until i got back from that until I made a post. That way I wouldnt be as rushed this morning, I could stop by Lunch Box Darien and get me a spectacular lunch, and then have a little ice cream as a dessert and make a post with that in it.

So this is a scoop of our hand scooped strawberry ice cream with a little drizzle and some waffle crumbs sprinkled on top. It was a perfect treat after a great lunch on a warm day. Come by and see us at Dawn's Cafe and try a scoop or two for yourselves. We offer our ice cream on cones too if that's the way you prefer it. The lunch was a krab salad wrap and a grilled cheese with smoked cheddar and tomatoes on rye in case anyone was curious. Yes, it was as good as it looked, but you cant really go wrong with what you order there!

Good morning and happy humpday beautiful people! Halfway through the week already and it has really zipped by so far. Really hope the second half goes just as fast. We hope all of your weeks are going great. Come by and see us here at Dawn's Cafe and let us get you a little pick me up to help push you over the hump and cruise right into the weekend! We had a lot of different people hang out up here yesterday, be it working at the desk, relaxing on the couches, meeting for business, or just sitting at a table with a friend talking over coffee. We love to see it, and it happened alot yesterday, so it made us happy!

This morning, im starting my day with a Iced Chai latte and a cinnamon butter streusel crumb cake. The go together absolutely perfectly in my opinion! Try it yourself and see if you feel the same.

Good morning and happy Tuesday all my beautiful people! The week is in full swing and we hope that yours is starting out great and that Monday wasnt too hard on you. The good news is that the worst day is over, humpday is tomorrow, and then its easy cruising into the weekend. Come by and see us here at Dawn's Cafe and let us help make it smooth sailing for you with a little caffeine boost to make light work of the early week blues. Or maybe just a little treat to motivate yourself through the week. Whatever you need, we have you covered with a smile and the friendly service that you've come to expect from us!

Speaking of that, and since im just having a cup of our Papua New Guinea single origin, that makes for a boring picture, I'd like to say that we absolutely LOVE the relationships we have built with so many of you. When we started this, we knew we wanted a place that had a friendly environment that everyone felt comfortable in. And we knew we wanted to be more then just people taking your order. We wanted more of a community type space. What we didnt know was how many people would open up and truely let us into their lives. We love the connections we have made with so many of you and we value each of those different connections no matter how in depth or diverse they may be. We truely appreciate each and every one of you that have walked through those doors, be it once, occasionally, or daily. It also makes us feel good to know that some of those connections mean something to you as well. In this community alot of people are only in the area for a few weeks a year, or a season, or just the occasional weekend. One of our favorite families is only here during the winter, and recently went back to their summer place, but we unexpectedly received this in the mail the other day and it touched our heats and made us feel good to know that people think about us and our place, even when they arent just stopping for a coffee. Things like this have happened for us here and there, and we appreciate it so much each and every time. No matter if its a tshirt from their home, a hat from their son's local baseball team, a homemade pie during the holidays, or something special from their home area, we are touched and grateful each and every time. And we appreciate this community more then we could ever express. So thank you, to each and every one of you.

Good morning and happy monday all my beautiful people! I hope everyone's weekend was as incredible as ours was and that it was relaxing, fun, and rejuvenating for you all so that you are ready to smash this new week! Had a few hours of crazy rain this weekend, but for the most part it was a beautiful couple of days. And the rain came at a good time in the day to be able to wind down and force us into relaxing a bit. Got a little family time in as well, which is always awesome. Now we get a fresh start at a new week, and can work on improving and making it even better than last week!

Starting my day off with one of our Dawn's Cafe exclusive "Pink Cloud" drinks. They are one of our signature creations and cannot be found anywhere else in the way that we do them. These are a super flavorful, naturally energy packed, no preservatives added, fruit drinks with a slightly creamy, but super hydrating and replenishing twist. Most people that have tried our cloud drinks start ordering them on a regular basis. We offer 4 different types of cloud drinks. Pink, Sunset, Dragon, and Passion. All with fruit drizzle on the cup and real fruit added in the drink. If you haven't tried one yet, you really should give them a try. Im pairing it with our asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese. Not the these are a perfect pairing, I just was a little hungry this morning and I LOVE our asiago bagel!

Good morning and welcome to the weekend beautiful people! We hope your week went by fast and it was super productive and fulfilling. And now its time to have a relaxing, fun filled, stress free, negative energy releasing, recharging type of week. We should have a mix of beautiful weather mixed with some rain, which is perfect for the weekends. We get to enjoy some fresh air during the good weather and go out to get all our weekend stuff done. But then when the rain come, we get to relax inside, lay back and hang out with friends or family, or just chill alone and curl up to watch a movie or binge you favorite show. The possibilities are endless, you do you and make the weekend your version of incredible.

We have our first seasonal offering for our ice cream, and while idk how much it fits the summer vibe, it was hands down the most requested ice cream from you all. This is a scoop of our butter pecan, paired with a blondie and a butter pecan shaken espresso. They all worked SOOO good together. So we are now officially serving butter pecan to go along with our 4 permanent offerings of vanilla bean, chocolate, strawberry, and rainbow sherbet. Come by Dawn's Cafe and grab you a scoop on your way to wherever you are going this weekend. Or stop by to break up your day with a sweet treat in the middle of it. We are here until 2pm so come see us whenever is best for you!

Good morning and happy Friday all my beautiful people! Its the last day before the weekend and if youre like us, it cant come quick enough! We hope it has been a great week for you all and that this weekend goes exactly how you are hoping. We will be here at Dawn's Cafe for you on Saturday from 8-2 and on Sunday from 9-2. Stop by and make us a part of your weekend. We definitely have something that can help you stay motivated and at your best throughout the day.

It is frappe friday here, and our most popular drink off our new summer menu has surprisingly been our Dubai Dream, so I figured I'd make the frappe version of it this morning. Our Dubai Dream is made with real, authentic pistachio cream made from real pistachios. It is not done with imitations or knock offs or just artificial flavorings. And you can definitely tell the difference. It is a perfect blend of pistachio and chocolate with real pistachio cream also striped on the cup which is also drizzled in chocolate. Then topped with either sweet cold foam or whip cream depending on how you get it made, and another drizzle of chocolate and pistachio. Come by and try one for yourself if you haven't yet.

I also just poured a fresh batch of our signature, one of a kind, handmade, never from concentrate or a premade mix, house recipe, customer favorite, small batch, cold brew. And yall know how fast that goes, so make sure you grab some while its available. Next chance ill have to make another batch will be monday night.

Good afternoon all my beautiful people. A little later of a post from me today. Had a super busy morning with all the errands I had to run today. But that's OK, that just means we are even closer to the weekend. Pop by and see us here at Dawn's Cafe and grab yourself a little midday treat. We are here until 5pm to get you whatever it is that you need.

A little later in the day, so perfect time to highlight our ice cream. Today is a perfect day for some of our hand scooped ice cream. We have vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and rainbow sherbet. And tomorrow we we start serving our first seasonal offering. You can get our ice cream in two types of cones or two different types of bowls. Or try one of our specialties instead. This is a butterscotch milkshake. We can do milkshakes in pretty much any reasonable flavoring so come see us and let us whip up whatever flavor you are craving.

Good morning and happy humpday all my beautiful people. I hope the first half of all of yalls week has been great and that this second half turns out even better. This morning, im having myself one of my all time favorite, go to drinks. It is my signature toffee nut and vanilla latte with some vanilla powder and cold foam on it. I took pictures before the cold foam because it tends to sink into the drink and wouldnt make for the best picture. But I definitely added it after the pics, lol. Im pairing it with our orange cranberry muffin. It had been awhile since I had one and have been thinking about it the past few mornings so I figured today was the perfect day. We still have our Summer Special menu going strong, so make sure you come check out a few of those to find your favorite. Or let us craft whatever it is that you are craving.

Good morning and happy Tuesday beautiful people! I hope all of your weeks are starting our wonderfully. Ours has been great here at Dawn's Cafe. We feel so thankful that so many of you make us a part of your daily routines and we love seeing you all. No matter if its a quick in and out because youre in a rush, or if we get a chance to chat with you a bit and catch up, we appreciate seeing you.

I was going to start posting later in the day sometimes, so I could highlight the ice cream a little more, because 99% of the time, the pictures we post are of items we just made, and its hard to take pics of ice cream and have to eat it at 630 in the morning. But this morning, im going to highlight one of our ice cream items that works perfect in the morning, or as a midday treat/pick me up. It is our Affogato. It is the item we get asked about the most, as alot of people have never heard of an affogato. It is a scoop of our vanilla bean ice cream with a shot of our small batch roasted, premium, hand tamped, individually fresh drawn, signature espresso, poured over the top of it. It makes for a delicious combo as the cold, smooth, creamy ice cream pairs perfectly with the strong, hot, bold flavor of the espresso. It sort of changes flavors a bit as the ice cream slowly melts into the espresso. It is a unique experience and something you should definitely try at least once. I do mine with straight espresso, but I've seen it done with flavors added in and even with drizzle on the top. This one is done with straight espresso, drawn directly onto the ice cream. I added a little vanilla drizzle just for aesthetic purposes.

Good morning and happy monday beautiful people. Its a new week and we are ready to absolutely crush it with you! Summer vibes are setting in and we are definitely here for it. Along with all the amazing coffee you have come to know from us, the unique refreshers, the delicious sweet treats we offer, and the fast, affordable quick eats we have for you, we also have our summer special menu in full swing, and have ice cream and milkshakes available for you to help give yourself a little midday treat to beat the heat. Dawn's Cafe is the place to make sure that you incorporate into your day wither to start it, help you power through midday, or get yourself a reward to cap the day off. No matter when you stop by, we have something for you!

This is our Sunburn iced latte off of our summer specials menu. It is a raspberry and white chocolate latte, with both drizzles on the cup and raspberries stuck to the drizzle, topped with whip cream and both drizzles again. It is a very sweet and tasty latte. In my opinion, it is dynamite hot, very good iced, and good frozen. It loses a little bit of its sweetness when frozen for some reason. But I think im in the minority on that because I've had alot of people that absolutely loved it frozen. Come by and try for yourself. Or try any other drink from our summer specials menu. Hot, iced, or frozen, whichever your feeling at the moment, we can make it happen for you.
