The Townsend House Tavern & Restaurant The building that houses the restaurant was built in 1870 by the Fessenden company, once the largest barrel company in the country. The decor is country charm.

Paul and Barbara Dickhaut purchased the building in 1974 and the Townsend House has been family owned and operated ever since. Sons Paul, Bobby and Jimmy and daughter Jane were soon all working at the restaurant and now there is a third generation involved. d desserts are a favorite. The family's collection of antique signs and license plates cover just about every square inch of every wall and the old wood floors shine. Choose the dining room, offering cozy seating arrangements which can easily be moved around for larger parties, or the tavern. In the tavern you can sit at the bar or a table and enjoy watching current sports, news and entertainment on one of two large screen tv's. Let Us Host Your Gathering...
The smaller back room of the restaurant is perfect for meetings or parties. Birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, wedding rehearsal dinner, business meeting, you name it. Choose from an extensive menu and never pay a rental fee.

It was great to have Tim Rollo & Lou DeMartino back at the The Townsend House Tavern & Restaurant! 🎶

The smiles, the laughter, and the packed house said it all!! Everyone was so happy to see you both back where you belong. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night, and a huge thank you to Tim & Lou for another awesome evening of great music.
