Well Explorer’s this is a bean that’s never been roasted in this shop nor have we tried till now. This is what this club is all about. Trying beans from tiny farms from all over this great big world. We hope you LOVE this one. Sun dried raisins and roasted peanuts fill this cup with flavor and it’s all the way from Sul De Minas a co op farm in Brazil!

If ya know me you know my feelings about my Mrs. Gail, I love me some Mrs. Gail. She’s tough as she is kind which is hard to do. She said she wanted to help with the chili cookoff some how this year and I said nooooooo then she told me to shut up so I did 😂 I told her no because this is the same woman who puts a hundred dollars in the pay it forward jar a couple times a year. Same woman who brings me my favorite honey in the world when she sees I’m running low. My point is she does beyond enough for this shop. She wasn’t having that though she is going to make her famous Hummingbird Cake for the punchboard this year! So come out on that Saturday and try your hand at punching the right hole to win Mrs. Gail’s hummingbird cake!

It is official.

It is finally a Ber month! If you're asking what the heck is that, it is any month that ends with "ber." September, October, November, and December. These are some good months. Football time in Tennessee starts Saturday! Then you get field trips to pumpkin patches and Halloween and the kids much needed Fall Breaks. Then we get to freezing turkeys for Thanksgiving and hams for Christmas. One of the best times of year is these ber months.

What does the ber months look like in the roasting house? Well we kind of amp up in these four months because chilly weather usually means everyone drinks an extra cup in the morning, I know we do in here. We have the busiest month of the year when October rolls around and the busiest day of the year, the Chili Cookoff! Then we go straight into Christmas mode with baskets, boxes, and gifts of all sorts. So the ber months are the good ones in here for sure.

The chili cookoff is officially NEXT month folks! We have more items coming in daily if you would like to try your hand at winning some of these prizes! The updated list will be below. A lot of people asked last week once I buy my ticket then what? So we see the ticket(s) you bought and we write your name and number on each one and will have them ready for you at will call. If you are unable to come or live far away and simply are supporting the day we do the same- list your name and number and put your ticket in the jar of your choosing! There’s some businesses around here that have supported us from day one and Little Arrow Outdoor Resort is one that has from day 1. Carmen and her team down there are amazing and very kind. They donate a basket each year and this years is my favorite yet. Just a perfect prize. If you haven’t camped there TRUST me do so. Get in the pool, get in the hot tub, hike up their mountain trail to an awesome surprise hiding up there. Our coffee is brewed every morning in their Feather Lounge and it’s for sale in the gift shop as well! Thank you Little Arrow Outdoor Resort once again, you are very good to us.

Shwooo me and my family and friends LOVE the Peaceful Side Social my kids know that playground inside and out. Conley seems to have something else to say in that pic 😂 but he loves the social. Whether it’s their Oktoberfest or Jimmy Buffet Parrot Fest we are there. When we ride our side by side over to the river in the evenings we pass by that sign on the highways and the kids always say “playground!” We LOVE it, so when they said they wanted to donate the beer for the chili cookoff we were beyond excited and SO thankful. What a kind thing to do. So stop by for sure and grab ya a grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup and an Orange Wit 🍊 beer that’s my go to there!

Oh Debbie Tate. If you’ve met her ya probably love her. She’s kind and gentle and last year without asking she donated every single chili bowl that you saw at the chili cookoff. These were bowls she handmade. Can you imagine the muscle & time and so much material that went into that donation. She is a gem of a lady. I’ve heard all week how there needs to be more Dolly’s in this world, well world here’s one right here. Ya just gotta look for them. Very thankful she donated these two handmade chili bowls, she’s had beyond a hard year and to still donate something is incredible. Thank you Debbie Tate you’re amazing.
