Hi Friends! Thanks for all the love you've sent our way. We are all doing fine and cooking and drinking our way through quarantine. I've been motivated mostly to work in the gardens, and again I'd remind you it's a beautiful Spring, go outside and get some dirt on your hands. Many have asked how they could show support while we are closed down. My favorite suggestion is to order a copy of OutThere! Both books, The Hamptons, and New York City, are still available and we can mail them to you. Best way to order is by email, [email protected]. Fun reads, delicious recipes and all about cooking for yourself and your family. The Hamptons is a Family style cookbook and filled with Summer recipes. New York City is filled with recipes for two and is a beautiful photo tribute to New York City. Books are $52 including Tax. Postage is an additional $5.00. We can arrange payment via email. Dear Friends, We are going to Have Faith that the best decision for us to make is to cease operations during this crisis. This is the place for any updates on what’s happening at RowHouse. Be kind to each other and to yourself. Everyone is feeling this isolation and fear, but I’d remind you Spring is here and so is hope.

My current little project to keep occupied is finding a way to post daily videos of recipes you can make in a variety of kitchens with limited skills and ingredients. So if you are moving around the website I’m experimenting these next couple of days to figure out the best formats to make this worth tuning in for.

I’ve been in emotional hiding since deciding to close the doors according to the quarantine. This is a weird time and I think this was the best decision to be made if we are to recover as a restaurant. Stop our spending and keep expenses low, this also allowed our staff to collect unemployment as opposed to trying a small scale to go food sales or other type of operating. There is no right answer, we are all guessing. In the meantime we are cooking up an idea to occupy our over active minds and bring you something to do and eat. Anna and I are working on a series of recipes we are calling, “InHere, cooking inside the Box.”

I’m hoping to do all of this via this website with links from social medial as opposed to posting it on social media. I’ve frankly had all of that I can take for the moment. Stay tuned, stay calm and Have Faith.

Dear friends, I’m more of a pragmatic than an alarmist, but that being said...all of us small businesses need some time to talk amongst ourselves and decide how best to move forward at this truly unprecedented time. Tomorrow I’m meeting with the staff to discuss matters. At RowHouse I think all opinions matter and I want the input of my workers to help guide where we go from here.
