Exciting update for this week’s Friday Night Crafts!

In addition to making “snuffle mats” for dogs at Helping Hands Humane Society we are ALSO making bracelets for Mama Dragons AND continuing to crochet granny squares for our rainbow June Pride wall hanging!

Follow your art heart on Friday AND make something to encourage and support someone else! What could be better? (Is it free popcorn? We will have that also!!)

A few reasons to stop by Cafe Quetzal today, besides delicious nourishing food and drinks:

Beautiful spring earrings just in time for Mother’s Day or treat-yourself gifts! Proceeds to I-Care, Inc. Food Pantry which serves low-income families in SE Topeka.

Our plant-sharing shelf has a few beauties but could USE some sharing of plant starts, so if you have any baby plants to spare, please drop them off for others to enjoy.

Our Gluten-free Apple Cinnamon Muffins are coming out of the oven right now!

Cinco de Mayo was Tuesday but it’s not too late to get a Free Button and timely info to support local immigrant families!

And a bonus for tomorrow- our Friday Night Crafts theme is “Mother’s Day Crafts”

We hope to see you soon!

We are proud of our "talented" staff.
Please congratulate these folks when you see them!

Three of our Cafe Quetzal baristas (Robin, Kivrin, Raya) are nominated for "Lead Performer in a Female Role" at the nearby high school Topeka West Theatre this year (among many other nominations!).

Plus, our lead staff Lilia and Sunday musician Hunter are currently performing in Cabaret at Helen Hocker Theater through next weekend.

The decision would have a resounding impact when The United Methodist Church formed in 1968 and in other developments that expanded clergy recognition.

The setbacks on the way to full clergy rights offer lessons as women’s leadership and voting rights face increasing public pushback today.
