Congratulations to the New York Knicks on an incredible championship run. After 53 years, this city finally has its moment, and that team earned every bit of it. The grit, the heart, the resilience... they were an absolute force from start to finish.

That said, as proud as I am of the Knicks, I'm equally disappointed by some of the behavior we saw after the win.

For years, I'd watch footage of riots, fires, and vandalism following championships in other cities and take a certain pride in believing New York was above that. Through 9/11, the blackout, ticker-tape parades, championships by the Yankees, Giants, Rangers, and countless other moments that brought millions of New Yorkers together, we celebrated with passion, but also with dignity.

A championship should be a night to remember because of the joy, not because school buses were set on fire and neighborhoods were left cleaning up the mess.

Celebrate. Be loud. Be proud. The Knicks earned that. But let's not confuse destruction with passion.

It's been really cool to watch what many of our groups have become.

What started as a simple way to track the truck has turned into something much bigger. Neighbors are chatting, sharing updates, coordinating meetups, and even organizing spontaneous street-corner ice cream socials. 🍦

The best groups have realized the tracker is more than just following a blip on a map. It's a conversation. I share my location, members share theirs, and communities connect in a way that's surprisingly rare these days.

Seeing neighbors meet neighbors, kids make new friends, and entire streets come together over ice cream has been pretty awesome.

I hope all of our tracker groups continue to grow into the same kind of local community. ❤️
