Back by serious demand and for our final summer flavor of the week(s)... 🥁 We give you the ever-popular Lemon Ice Cream.

This flavor will be in until we change it to our famous Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream🎃🥧 beginning September 1st. That flavor will remain for the rest of the season through October 30th. We can't wait to see you all real soon! 🍦🍋😋

🎉🔦G Crew Spotlight! 🔦🎉

Congratulations to Mack Mercer for earning our July Employee of the Month! 🎉👏

Mack joined us at the beginning of the 2026 season and quickly proved herself to be a valuable part of the G Crew. Jay and Mack go way back—she's been a customer since she was little and always made sure to give him plenty of attitude along the way! 😂

Mack is the definition of a team player. Whether she's working on the floor, picking up an extra shift, or helping out a coworker by swapping shifts, she's always willing to step up when needed. She trained quickly, picked up the flow of the barn with ease, and has become someone we can count on. While we call her "Mack Attack" behind the scenes for her great energy and friendships with everyone on the crew, customers get to see her softer side through the service window. She's incredibly kind, always wears a big smile, and consistently delivers excellent customer service.

Mack is a determined go-getter who's always willing to help with whatever is asked of her. When she's not crushing it at the barn, you'll be able to catch her in Fort Wayne this fall wrestling for Indiana Tech. 🏆💪 GO WARRIORS! 🎉

Good luck at your new school this fall, Mack! We are going to miss you, but we couldn't be more proud of everything you've accomplished. Thank you for everything you've done for the G Crew and for the positive energy you bring to the barn every day.

We appreciate you more than you know, and we can't wait to have you back next summer! ❤️🍦

Hey G Fans, Happy Ice Cream Sundae!
We apologize for the delay and have been waiting to get a part in this week that has taken longer than anticipated, so we wanted to let you know this is why we currently do not have a flavor of the week. However, it will be fixed this upcoming week and we will be putting our famous peanut butter ice cream in for those asking and looking forward to it!😉

One of the things we love most about Toledo is exactly what she described—people here are incredibly passionate about their favorite local spots. Whether it's ice cream, hot dogs, pizza, or your go-to neighborhood restaurant, our community and truly shows up for local businesses, and that's something really special.

To all of our & , we're honored that so many of you encouraged her to give us a try! 😍 There are so many wonderful locally owned restaurants and ice cream shops in our community, and we never take it for granted when someone chooses to spend part of their day with us. 💙

Thank you for noticing our amazing crew, our speedy lines, and of course giving the Smurfberry Twist a try! 💙🩷 Hearing that you had such a great experience truly means the world to us.🥰

Whether you've been coming since 1988 or this was your very first visit, we're grateful to have you as part of the Mr. G's Barn family 💙. Toledo is filled with incredible family-owned businesses, each with their own recipes, traditions, and stories, and we're thankful to be one of the places you choose to support. We truly appreciate all of you and every visit! 🫶🍦

When it comes to ice cream in Toledo, I have never seen such defense and scolding because I didn't immediately mention Mr. G's Barn. 🤭😅 Toledoans are ruthless when it comes to their loved spots: we protect them and we sure don't let anyone outside of Toledo say anything about them.

The truth is I had never been though it was on my list to try. I always go to another favorite spot like we Toledoans do for our local restaurants. We all like our favorite Indian restaurant, our favorite ice cream, the best place for a hot dog and even without trying it will say the other place won't compare. I'm going to urge you to do what I did and try something new (even if it takes you years like me).

Because all of these ice cream places and Indian restaurants and hot dog spots do their own take, their own family recipes. They are unique and that is why local is always beautiful and better than a chain.

I took the advice of someone and got the strawberry and smurf swirl. I think the smurf is like a blue moon? It was huge and that was a small with sprinkles added because why not! For all the people saying the lines are always long, yes they were but boy did they move fast. They have a system down pat with kind faces and even the drive thru was moving from what I could see. So try something new, you may be surprised.

Let's hear it for our June Employee of the Month, Colin Shields! 🎉👏
Not only is this honor well deserved, but it's also Colin's 2nd Employee of the Month award since joining the G Crew in March 2025.
After a great first season, Colin came back in 2026 like a seasoned veteran, eager to learn and help wherever he could. Since then, he's continued to impress us with his work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help everyone around him succeed. He has even brought us some awesome referrals and helped train them into great crew members too! One of the things we appreciate most about Colin is how cool, calm, and collected he stays no matter what's happening around him. He’s always great to have on shift, rain or shine, super long line? Colin shows up with a smile and on time. For someone who's only 16, his level of responsibility and maturity is truly remarkable. He represents everything we hope for in a team member, and we're grateful to have him as part of our G Crew family.
Colin, thank you for all your hard work, your positive attitude, and everything you do behind the scenes to help make our team successful. We appreciate you more than you know, and we're proud to recognize you with this well-deserved honor!
