Even when Ava was away at college, the tradition of country ham potpie kept us connected. I still remember the first time she sent me a photo of dough rolled out on her apartment counter, ready to share the potpie with her friends. It was such a proud, full-circle moment.

This year, Ava and I are in the kitchen together, preparing potpie for all of you at the Twilight Wassail Celebration on February 15th. It feels like a new chapter in this time-honored tradition—one we’re so excited to share with our community. Hey friends! It’s been a whirlwind few months for us at Orchard Roots Café—from Ben & Ava's wedding 💍, to holiday fun with family, and of course, apple season taking over our lives 🍏🍂—but we’re finally stepping back into the kitchen and ready for some winter warmth!

🔥 The Winter Soup Series is HERE! 🔥

Each weekend through the winter, we’ll be serving up a different homemade soup in the cozy Old Hill Cider Tasting Room (which is now nestled inside the greenhouse—so it’s nice and toasty!). First up this weekend: Taco Soup 🌮🥣, and we’ve got something just as delicious simmering for next weekend… stay tuned!

We’ve missed you all and can’t wait to warm up your weekends with good food, good cider, and good company. See you soon!
