We know many of you are anxious to get up to the Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park! The Giant Forest will be OPEN to public access this weekend, Saturday 1/22 - Monday 1/24. We hope to be able to provide some access to the area tomorrow (Friday, 1/21) as well, depending upon what our crews are able to accomplish today. We will post an update tomorrow morning!

Visitors to the Giant Forest should expect tire chain restrictions. The trail from the lower Sherman parking lot to the General Sherman Tree will be cleared of snow, but may be slippery! All other trails are under snow, so make sure you wear appropriate footwear.

The Generals Highway will remain closed to the public above the intersection with Wolverton Road. Wolverton Road will be open.
