A bit about us...
We began our journey of restoring the historic Black Bear Inn (Opened in 1908) in 2018. We opened the first two sections of the building to the public in April of 2019. This was the coffee shop and the hair salon. Shortly after this we also opened the ballroom.
In order to provide fresh baked goods in the coffee shop we made an agreement with the Belknap Store to provide our baked goods. In the coming months, the Belknap Store closed and moved the bakery into the Black Bear Commercial Kitchen (the next part of the building we restored).
We purchased the bakery from the original owners in early 2020 and are now baking all of our breads and pastries in our own bakery onsite. In addition to our own coffee shop and deli we also supply breads for other local restaurants.
On June 8th, 2020 we opened the deli to the public. Opening this section of the Black Bear has completed our restoration of the main floor. The deli serves sandwiches and salads that are made at the time of your order using fresh, high quality ingredients and our own baked bread made from non-GMO Montana Wheat. We look forward to having you stop in.
