Avila is heading to the Bayou Art Festival this weekend!

A weekend filled with incredible art, creativity, and, of course, delicious food!

We’re bringing some of your Avila favorites to the festival, along with refreshing drinks to enjoy while exploring all the beautiful artwork.

Here’s what we’ll be serving:

🥟 Our signature house-made empanadas
🌭 Choripán — a delicious Argentine-inspired classic

A very special day for Chef Nelson and Avila! ❤️👨‍🍳

Yesterday, Chef Nelson traded his usual kitchen audience for a much younger (and perhaps tougher!) crowd: 80 curious little chefs at Spanish Schoolhouse Creekside! Spanish Schoolhouse Creekside

As part of their Community Helpers Week, Nelson had the pleasure of introducing these little learners to the world of professional cooking, showing them the tools we use, explaining what happens behind the scenes in our kitchen, and sharing a little of what it means to be a chef.

And here’s the impressive part… he managed to keep 80 preschoolers engaged and entertained for an entire 30 minutes! Even the teachers were amazed! ❤️

At Avila, we believe food is about so much more than cooking. It’s about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and creating experiences. And yesterday was a beautiful reminder that you’re never too young to discover the magic of the kitchen.

A heartfelt thank you to Spanish Schoolhouse Creekside for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful experience.

Who knows? Maybe a future chef was sitting in that classroom! ❤️
