After 15 wonderful years of serving our community and welcoming guests from near and far, PoorBoys Steakhouse in Thayer, Kansas, will be closing its doors.
This decision comes as we begin the next chapter of life and move closer to retirement, while continuing to enjoy our family’s cattle operation and raising a few pigs along the way. Owning and operating several businesses over the years has been an incredible journey, and we are truly grateful for the support and friendships we’ve gained through it all.
While the restaurant business is rewarding, it also comes with many demands, and we feel this is the right time to step away. We are excited to announce that Brittany Love will be leasing the building and opening a restaurant of her own Almosta Ranch Steakhouse. We encourage everyone who has faithfully supported us over the years to continue supporting her and help make her new venture a great success.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing employees who have helped make PoorBoys Steakhouse what it is today. Your hard work, dedication, and friendships have meant more to us than words can express.
Our final day of business will be June 27th. If you have any outstanding gift cards, we kindly ask that you redeem them before that date.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 15 incredible years of memories, laughter, and support. We have truly been blessed to be part of this community and will cherish the relationships we've built for years to come.
Employees will be off from June 28 through July 6 as part of our annual scheduled vacation. The business will reopen on July 7 under new ownership, with normal operations resuming at that time.
We will continue to share updates on our page and will provide information on how to follow the new owners’ business page once they officially open. Thank you for your continued support during this transition.
