BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! 🍽️🔥

We were scratching our heads trying to decide what to bring you for the next installment of our Dinner & Dessert Series… and then the past walked right through our front door.

A customer we hadn’t seen in nearly a decade stopped in and asked, “Do you guys ever make that white lasagna with ground turkey and poblano peppers anymore?”

Well, I’ll be damned. 😂

We had completely forgotten about that one! After 15 years of creating specials, sometimes even the EPIC ones get lost in the archives.

So, thanks to a little blast from the past, we’re bringing back an old favorite this weekend!

🍽️ WHITE TURKEY & POBLANO LASAGNA

Locally sourced ground turkey, layers of tender lasagna noodles, a rich, velvety poblano Alfredo sauce, and pecorino cheese. Creamy, savory, a little smoky, and every bit as incredible as we remember.

🍮 AND FOR DESSERT…

’Tis the season! SPIKED EGGNOG BREAD PUDDING! 🎄🥃

Because apparently we’re skipping straight to the good stuff this year.

Five months without it? We know. Today & tomorrow! The French dip is back, and yeah, it’s still the best you’ll ever have. Half a pound of medium-rare tri-tip, melt-in-your-mouth tender, provolone pulled just right, bone marrow au jus for the dunk, horseradish aioli on the side if you like a little sass. And because we don’t play fair, bourbon apple bread pudding with house whipped cream and caramel sauce seals the deal. Grab it. Dine in. Take out. Just don’t wait another five months.

Hey friends, we’re back and we brought the good stuff. All week we’re serving our fan-favorite sweet potato and Italian sausage bisque—still gluten-free and dairy-free. And because you haven’t stopped asking, the legendary French dip is back Friday and Saturday only, and this time dessert’s coming along: caramelized apple and bourbon bread pudding. Pre-orders are open now for dine-in or takeout. Plus, our signature weekend cocktail is on deck. Stay tuned. Missed us? We missed you too. See you this week.

We usually don’t post about other things besides food, but these guys deserve it. The storm made a huge mess for us and our neighbors, these guys are a new start up right here in Tenino and are fast, on time and do exactly what agreed on. They came in, cleaned up all the debris, hauled it all off, they did such a great job our neighbors had them stay all week to demo a few old sheds, clean up in other areas and grade a few spots they plan on putting something for the future, can’t say enough good things about them. Even with fuel prices what they are, their rates were the best around, if you need some help, send them a message!

What does Thanksgiving take?

Planning it, shopping for it, prepping for two days, cooking all morning, and then staring at a mountain of dishes? Absolutely not.

For more than a decade, we’ve been the Thanksgiving heroes for people who would rather actually enjoy the holiday.

We cook it. We make it beautiful. You pick it up, take it home, and take all the credit.

No grocery store madness. No kitchen disaster. No dishes.

Just a seriously good Thanksgiving dinner, ready to go.

Sure thing. Here’s the full version with that woven in. Bottom of the barrel gets a bad rap, but around here that’s where the magic lives. The last scoop of our house-made pickles is all hunks of garlic, fresh local dill, crunchy cucumber bits soaked in that briny goodness. And for those who missed it last time, the spicy Szechuan pickles are back. We already sold about half of what we made yesterday, so today’s quantity is super limited. Fun moment from yesterday: someone decided the Inferno burger wasn’t quite enough, so they grabbed a jar of the spicy pickles and doubled down. Clearly living on the edge.

It’s been nearly FOUR YEARS since we served this one.

Hands down the most requested pork dish we’ve ever done—and quite possibly the best pork chop you’ve ever had.

For our 3rd installment of the Friday & Saturday Dinner + Dessert Series:

A ridiculously tender and juicy 10 oz pork chop, Cajun-dusted charred prawns, scalloped potatoes, crispy Parmesan brussel sprouts, roasted carrots, and our famous chimichurri sauce for dipping…well, whatever you feel like dipping in it.

And then dessert.

We’re bringing back one we served for years: our lush, creamy, perfectly tangy Key Lime Flan, served with a hot, crispy fried churro made specifically for dragging through every last bite.

Available Friday & Saturday, 4–7pm.

Come in for dinner tonight or Saturday night at Simply Organic Cafe & Catering from 4–7 PM.

Tonight’s Chef’s Special is Chicken Marsala — tender chicken breast in a rich Marsala cream sauce with mushrooms and onions, served over garlic noodles.

And dessert is one of our longtime favorites: Dutch Apple Bars. We’ve been making these from scratch for more than 15 years, going all the way back to when we first started in 2011.

We also have a special cocktail tonight: our Sugared Cranberry Cosmo. We made a bright, tart cranberry sauce and a cranberry sugar rim with both a sweeter and a more tart side, so the flavor of the cocktail changes depending on where you sip. Go sweet, go tart, or work your way around the glass and get a little of both.

Our second Friday/Saturday Dinner + Dessert installment is here, and mushroom lovers… this one is absolutely for you.

Chicken Marsala loaded with a wide variety of local mushrooms, caramelized with garlic and w**e, finished with local cream, tossed with fresh pasta, and topped with pecorino cheese. Roasted garlic ciabatta on the side, because leaving that sauce on the plate would be a terrible decision.

And dessert? We went back into the archives for one of our old favorites.

Washington knows apples, and Pink Lady happens to be one of our favorites to work with.

Our 50-Layer Dutch Apple Bake is exactly what it sounds like—literally 50 layers of thinly sliced Pink Lady apples, tossed in a spiced rum batter and baked until rich, tender, caramelized perfection.

Finished with our house-made whipped cream.

If you’re new around here, here’s something you should know—we don’t just know food. Our cocktail program is second to none.

We’ve always treated cocktails the same way we treat the kitchen: great ingredients, bold flavors, a little creativity, and absolutely no interest in serving boring drinks.

Because dinner deserves a proper drink, this weekend’s featured cocktail is our Sugared Cranberry Cosmo, hope it’s not too early for cranberry!

So this weekend, come for the Chicken Marsala, stay for the 50-Layer Dutch Apple Bake, and wash it all down with a Sugared Cranberry Cosmo.

Dinner starts at 4 PM tonight!

We have just 4 of our Chef’s Specials available with a confit chicken quarter, served with:

• Scalloped potatoes
• Roasted carrots
• Grilled asparagus
• Gravy on the side
• Bread pudding for dessert

Once those four are sold, we’ll transition the special to a confit chicken breast, served with the same sides and dessert. We’ll have 11 chicken breast dinners available tonight.
