It is such a beautiful day here in Temple, hard to believe there is a Nor'easter headed our way, bad enough to cancel the Harvest Festival on Sunday 😥 ! However, we are here for you as the anticipation builds, and have some tables for you tonight (but it's our "music free" Thursday). If you haven't come in to try our fall menu yet, you really should. The specials are pretty amazing too, last night's most popular item was the swordfish steak and it's still on tonight! Also, pictured is the Hot Honey Eggplant special, which if you've had it, you know. One customer who had it last week commented on how Nellie puts ingredients you might not expect together, and none of them over shadow the others but somehow all work together to create fantastic flavor. Our chef is the real deal, and we are so lucky. Oh, and so are you! Give us a shout at 603.878.3285!

We get asked for donations often, and we almost never refuse. If it's local, we're here for it. We've even donated to NHPBS for their fund raiser, and it's always fun to have the folks come in who have won the prize! Locally, we have supported Maxt Maker Space (https://maxtmakerspace.org/),
The Peterborough Players, The Mansfield Library, The Harrisville Children's Center, Shelter from the Storm, The River Center, The Jaffrey American Legion, and even more I can't remember right now. Just last Friday, for the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we raised $485 for our own Temple Fire Department. What's in it for us? Exposure, from a business point of view, but also, the satisfaction of knowing that we have helped move these wonderful organizations forward, and the opportunity to meet the like minded people who bid on these items! A big thank you to all of these folks for what they offer our communities, whether it's by entertaining us or literally finding homes for people. The next time you're trying to decide where to have dinner, please consider joining us here at Porters, so we can continue to support these worthwhile organizations!
