We have an ever changing menu as we prepare food daily and whatever ingredients come in fresh. There are no corner cuttings here! We do not even have a microwave! We make our own sauces and rubs. this is NOT a boil and bake, liquid smoke wanna be BBQ shack! Come check out our smoker and sample some real Country Cooking. Every 1st Saturday of the month we do more American Indian food (Buffalo ribs,

Venison, Wild Boar) and we also have a Native American Drum Team (Eagles Heart) perform in our large outside dining area. Lots of entertainment, drumming, singers, dancers. Come early and dine in a real TIPI! Every Monday we do some REAL FRIED CATFISH! Also fried cabbage, mixed greens, and white beans and ham! Also a HUGE BEER SELECTIONS, from local brewers all over. Over 24 different beers!!!!!!

Hawaiian Food Monday Nights at Red House BBQ Tehachapi location!

Starting at 5:00 p.m. we will open our doors up for some handcrafted Hawaiian food.

Our regular menu is not available on Monday nights or Tuesday nights. These are specialty nights where we offer something very different.

We were hoping to add something new this week but we still need to get our ducks in a row to do so. It looks like next week we will be adding Poke and Pork Belly Char Siu.

Tonight's menu will consist of,
Kalua Pork
Shoyu Chicken
Kalbi Beef
SPAM Musubi
Hawaiian Fried Rice
Mac Salad
White Rice
Seaweed Salad
Kimchee

There may be a few surprises too

And yes I will be making some fresh Hawaiian Iced Tea.

CONTEST is OVER

We haven't had a contest in a very long time!

Tonight, I painted some of our interior walls. As many of you know, people write on the walls here at Red House. Everything from simple signatures to elaborate messages and even drawings. Every couple of years, I paint over them and we start all over. Tonight was the night!

I have been doing this since we opened approaching on two decades. I usually do this alone like tonight, but staff members have helped me in the past a few times.
Every time I paint, I ALWAYS listen to the same album. When I lived in my boat, I painted the whole thing listening to this album. The same goes for my first apartment, home, and this restaurant. In fact, anytime I paint anything, I always put this album on.

This contest is open to the very few employees that have painted with me.

So......... what is the album that I always pair too? This should be fun.

A quick reminder to everyone that Red House BBQ, Red House BBQ Satellite Station 1, and Island Grindz will all be closed tomorrow for Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a very important holiday. I have never had one of my businesses open on this day, and I will never have anybody work for me on this day.

Coming from a very long military family, It would be an insult to the memory of all of those who gave their life for us.

Freedom isn't free.

Tuesday is Handcrafted Fried Chicken Night!!!!

(To be honest, I'm still recovering from last night's Hawaiian night! That was a lot of food!)

Every Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm (or if we sell out earlier) we offer fresh made Fried Chicken. We also usually have one or two other BBQ options.

You can pre-order your food by calling the restaurant 661-822-0772. It is highly advised to phone in your orders ASAP, as we have been known to sell out before we even open the door.

Monday Night is Hawaiian Night!!!!

This is a night that we are normally closed, but I get to have fun and do food you can't get anywhere around here.

From 5pm till 8pm (or till sold out. Whichever comes first) we are going to be offering some real handcrafted Hawaiian Food.

Monday Nights Menu

Every Tuesday night, we've been doing our Fried Chicken dinners. It also allows me to start doing more Soul Food and have some fun. When you come in on Monday or Tuesday nights, absolutely everything is prepared by me from bone scratch. We run a very minimal staff usually, only one or two people working just so that we can keep cost down.

Monday nights is our Hawaiian Night and it is definitely getting legs.

Tuesday nights have been handcrafted fried chicken, but now we are going to expand and start offering a few other meat options, and definitely more Southern sides.

So what is it that you want? I'm thinking about doing chicken gizzards again and oxtails. I can also do just about anything you can think of, and some things you've probably never even tried. Let me know where you want to go.

Monday night at Red House is our Hawaiian night!

This is something fun that we just started doing on a night that we are normally closed. Come and grub on some handcrafted Hawaiian food.

I'm pretty exhausted after cooking seafood boils all weekend long for Mother's Day, so I'm going to do a fairly straightforward menu again tonight.

Mother's Day Weekend

We served a good amount of our Seafood Boils today. Tomorrow is going to be a zoo though.

Please understand, for all of you that have pre-ordered, I will not start cooking your order until you are physically here. We want to make sure that you are getting the highest quality that we can put out. Today went very smooth with the boils and we were very consistent.

The best part about our boils being freshly made to order is that, not only do you get to design exactly what goes in your boil, but you also get to choose the amount of spice and heat level.

You can choose everything from crab, shrimp, and crawfish, to hot links, mild Italian sausage, corn, potatoes, and whole mushrooms. I'm even grilling up garlic parmesan bread to order.

We have our full menu running along with our seafood boils, and $4 mimosas!
All mothers will get a free piece of cake with their meal tomorrow.

Seafood Boils start at 11:00 a.m. and go till 5:00 p.m. or sold out.
