What can we say about COVID-19, it has definitely changed so much in our daily “normal”. The following is one of those changes.
It is with extreme sadness that this post has to be drafted. Our little shop did not successfully make it through to the other side of the pandemic closures.
It has taken some time to post this because we honestly tried to figure out a way to reopen but to no avail. As a small shop the cost to reopen was too grand and we unfortunately are not able to. Small business bailouts did not trickle their way to us as they should’ve and since we are a newer business, we unfortunately did not have the years of being established to qualify for other loans and/or grants.
This small coffee shop was my fathers full retirement. He put it all, and then some into a place to honor his mother, my grandmother.
As you know, we tried to honor Mrs. Gloria’s memory the best we could, making sure everyone felt welcomed, loved on with everything we did and genuinely tried to treat our customers and neighbors like family. It is unfortunate that we have to end this journey with it being so short lived.
We are not surprised that this has occurred, as many small businesses have had to close their doors forever due to the hardships the pandemic has caused. COVID has effected so many people in so many different ways.
We are sad, hurt and disappointed. But we do know that everything happens for a reason and God is always in control!
To our faithful customers YOU ARE STILL FAMILY! We have missed you and wish the best for your health and safety.
Please share so that we may get the word out. We have had some awesome people in the last few days trying to order or stop by to see if we are open. Not everyone has had the pleasure of following us on social media and may not get this update.
