A sweet finish at this year’s Tampa Bay Food Fight. 🏆

We recently joined chefs from across Tampa and St. Petersburg for the 9th Annual Tampa Bay Food Fight signature culinary competition and charity fundraiser.

We were honored to take second place in the dessert competition, but even more grateful to be part of an evening that brought Tampa Bay’s culinary community together in support of Metropolitan Ministries and its mission.

Thank you to our culinary team for representing Bern’s and to everyone who came out to support this year’s Battle of the Bay!

A remarkable week of wh***ey returns to Bern’s. 🥃

Wh***ey Tampa Foxtrot returns November 9–14, bringing six evenings of exceptional wh***eys, thoughtfully curated pairings, and memorable dining experiences to Bern’s Steak House.

At the heart of Wh***ey Tampa Foxtrot is a cause close to us, with proceeds benefiting and the in support of our nation’s military community.

Tickets go on sale October 3 at 10 AM EST. We look forward to raising a glass with you this November.

The pursuit of something exceptional has always been part of Bern’s story.

Bern Laxer was relentless in his search for quality. Whether preparing steaks or walking vineyards, he believed the details mattered. Building relationships with producers around the world developed a deep passion for collecting, aging, and sharing exceptional w**e.

That vision helped a small steakhouse opened by Bern and Gert in 1956 grow into one of the country’s most recognized independent restaurants. Their influence can still be felt throughout the Bern’s Steak House experience, including an extensive w**e collection where bottles from the late 1800s and early 1900s continue to age gracefully.

We’ve got the scoop on a Bern’s Steak House classic.

Our Macadamia Nut Sundae brings together house-made macadamia nut ice cream, toasted macadamia nuts, whipped cream, and warm Valrhona hot fudge, all served in a crisp waffle cone bowl.

The ice cream itself was more than seven years in the making. Bern Laxer worked alongside a food scientist, testing hundreds of recipes before perfecting the macadamia nut ice cream we still make in-house today.

Every evening, that commitment can be found throughout our kitchen. Steaks are cut and trimmed by hand by our in-house butcher team, breads are baked fresh daily, house-made dressings are prepared from scratch, and each dish is approached with the same dedication to quality.

It’s an experience shaped by the traditions and craftsmanship that have defined Bern’s since 1956.

The Bern’s Food Truck is heading to the first Tampa Bay Sun FC home game of the season on September 12, serving a fantastic lineup made for match day.
