We know many of you were looking forward to joining us for Voices of October on October 9th, and we appreciate your excitement and patience! So we thought, why not bring two beautiful things together? Introducing Voices of October: Plants & Poetry, an afternoon of creativity, awareness, connection, and growth at Community Co-op Market!

Join us for meaningful poetry, our Community Plant Exchange, and a space to recognize causes close to our hearts, including breast cancer, mental health, ADHD, depression, and domestic violence awareness. Bring a plant to swap if you can, wear a color representing a cause that matters to you, and come ready to connect with your community.

We hope everyone has stayed safe following the storm and has had a chance to check in on their neighbors. 💚

Friday, Community Co-op Market had the pleasure of tabling at the Tallahassee Film Festival alongside our friends at Red Hills Small Farm Alliance!

Our Interim General Manager, Chris, had a wonderful time connecting with the community and collecting entries for our movie-night giveaway. Stay tuned for more information about the winner!

Due to Hurricane Isaias, Community Co-op Market will close today, Friday, October 9, at 5:00 PM and reopen tomorrow, Saturday, October 10, at 10:00 AM.

Before we close, stop by for water, canned goods, bulk supplies and anything else you may need to prepare for the storm.

Our Voices of October Poetry Night will be rescheduled later this month. Please stay tuned for updates.

You’re invited to Voices of October Poetry Night on Friday, October 9 at 6:30 PM at Community Co-op Market. 💗

I created this theme because I lost a friend to domestic violence, and I know so many people are carrying experiences that deserve compassion, awareness and support. This evening will recognize breast cancer, domestic violence, ADHD, mental health and other important causes throughout October.

Share a poem, read something meaningful or simply come listen and support others. No experience is needed—every voice is welcome. Food and drinks will be provided, good vibes are guaranteed, and everyone is encouraged to wear pink or a color connected to an awareness cause meaningful to them.
