Today I had the opportunity to return to FSU’s FSU Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship for Global Entrepreneurship and share my journey as a LEAP 2025 graduate with the newest group of entrepreneurs. 💗
Before I arrived, I created a bougie board to share with the new cohort. As I was getting ready, my 5-year-old daughter looked at me and said, “Mommy, you look pretty!” Then, when I walked downstairs, my 3-year-old son said, “Mommy, you look like a princess!” 🥹👑
That was the pep talk I didn’t know I needed.🥰
Building Bougie With A Board while working full-time hasn’t always been easy. It has taken creativity, consistency, lessons learned, pivots, sacrifice, and a whole lot of faith. This week alone came with its share of highs and lows, so being able to stand in that room and talk about my journey already meant so much.
Then came the surprise 👀 Bougie With A Board was awarded a $2,000 micro-grant to continue investing in the business. 🥹💗✨ That made the moment even sweeter.
I’m incredibly grateful for Marina Lickson & Susana C. Santos and their staff with the LEAP program, the people who continue to pour into entrepreneurs, and every single person who has supported Bougie With A Board along the way.
We’re still growing. Still creating. Still getting bougier. 🥂✨
