So I wanted to give an update on Buddies on the Bank! I’m not going to lie, it’s been a tough go. I won’t go into why, all I’ll say is I’ve learned big lessons. The great news is that today I was able to get the right people in to finish the job! We should be open in a couple weeks! Let me just tell you this restaurant will not be like anything around! When I purchased Buddy’s in Talladega it was an existing restaurant that we simply took over and polished up a bit. Buddies on the Bank will be something different! Yes we will have a lot of the same items, daily specials, scratch made food, and affordable prices BUT it will also free me up to express myself. The red beans and rice, gumbo, fried oysters, boudin, and Étouffée are gonna be epic! The spare ribs, baby back ribs, and Dino ribs! The smoked turkey, pork, chicken, and brisket! The homemade nanna Puddin, carrot cake, and bourbon bread pudding! The smoked wings, hot wings, and lemon pepper hot wings! The waffles, omelettes, and pancakes! The fried, grilled, and blackened catfish! The hot fudge cake! Oooof it’s gonna be great! Stay tuned folks we’re coming!
