I think one of the biggest misconceptions about photography is that you have to have a “special occasion” to deserve photographs.

You don’t.

You don’t need a new baby.
You don’t need matching outfits.
You don’t need a milestone.
You don’t need everyone to behave.
You don’t even need a reason.

Sometimes the reason is simply:

“This is what my family looks like right now.”

Because someday, you’ll look back and realize that the season you thought was ordinary was actually one of the most important chapters of your life.
