Hi, Everyone! 🙂 I hope you're all having a fantastic week so far. I'll be out of town this weekend with Madison to celebrate my best friend's 60th birthday, but I'll be back next week. Steve and our wonderful team will be here to serve you all.
💝 Tomorrow happens to be me and Steve's 16th wedding anniversary (26 total years together). 👰🏾‍♀️💍🤵🏼‍♂️ We got married on 10/10/10 during our 10th year together. Unfortunately we won't get to celebrate until I return.

Many of you have noticed that we've been creating some new specials lately, and the feedback has been very positive. Thanks to Bonny and Chanda, we're already featuring a new and improved cucumber salad. We've been getting very bored with offering the same menu for so long, and maybe some of you are too. We are actively working on revamping our menu since so many of you over the years have encouraged us to make it more our own. 😊 No worries...we will be keeping your old favorites, but finally adding some of the new favorites that we and our talented team have created over the past 3 1/2 years. Some of the less popular items might not make the cut. We'd love to hear from you though...not just about what menu items you'd like to see stay on the menu, but we also want your feedback in general to help us improve overall, so we now have a suggestion box. We hope you'll feel free to leave us some input.

🎉 🤗 For 2 years in a row, we have received a Restaurant Guru award for University Place: 2025 Best Atmosphere, and 2026 Best Service. We must be doing something right, but there is always room for improvement.

😃 Hello, everyone! We have some updates for you regarding some of your favorite THD team members. You may have noticed that we've had a few new faces around here. Jadon is still working here but less often due to his other job. I'll start doing a better job notifying you all when he is going to be here, because many of you have been missing him and expressed wanting to see him. He and the other bartenders have been helping to train my dear friend Clem, who many of you have met and are loving already. 😊 Corey started another job this week so will be here less. He will still be here on Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. He'll be training another new team member, Colin, this Saturday. Matt is still here several times a week. Many of you know him from prior workplaces including Boathouse 19 and Canterwood. He's been such a big help to us this year. We have a great new cook, Elijah, on our very talented kitchen crew now. He was a friend of Stephanie's. 💗 Kevin, Bonny, and Chanda did a great job training him. Kole is finally done fighting fires and is returning to work this Sunday. Ben is still working Saturdays and occasional other days when needed. We are so grateful to Madison, Blake, and Sienna for continuing to help fill in staffing gaps whenever possible, even though they all have other jobs too. There are some more new team members starting or returning soon.
