Five years.
On August 2, 2021, Sean and I became the owners of Waller’s Deli. It’s hard to believe five years have already gone by. Some days it feels like we just signed the paperwork, and other days it feels like we’ve been here forever.
The truth is, these five years have been the wildest, most rewarding, and most challenging years of our lives. We’ve celebrated incredible milestones, welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world, experienced heartbreaking losses, learned countless lessons, and grown in ways we never could have imagined.
Through it all, Waller’s Deli has remained our constant.
For me, this place has been part of my life since I was 17 years old and even before that through my family. It’s impossible to imagine our lives without Waller’s, without Rob Waller, and without this incredible community that has supported us every step of the way.
One of the greatest gifts Rob gave us wasn’t just a business it was the reminder that a small-town deli is about so much more than sandwiches. It’s about knowing your customers, caring about your neighbors, treating people like family, and giving back to the community that supports you. We’ve tried our best to honor that every single day while continuing to improve the quality of the food we serve.
To our staff, both past and present, thank you. You’ve helped make Waller’s what it is today, and so many of you have become lifelong friends. We truly appreciate the hard work, dedication, and pride you bring every day.
To our customers, thank you for choosing us. Whether you’ve been coming here since Bob opened the doors or you just stopped in for the first time this week, you’ve made this dream possible.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also remembering the people we’ve lost along the way: Bob Waller, Mark Risden, and my dad, Tom Dauria. Their impact on our lives and on Waller’s Deli
will never be forgotten. We hope we’re making them proud every day.
Most of all, we thank God for blessing us with this opportunity. We don’t take a single day, customer, or conversation for granted.
