BIG NEWS!!!

I want to thank ALL of you guys for your support, kindness, and creativity throughout this journey. It truly means SO MUCH to me. But it’s time for me to stick my neck out and have a go at this.

The future for Get Smashed is clear. No more detours. No more stops along the way. All of the time & energy I have been putting into making burgers for the last three months is being shifted into getting the James Street location open ASAP.

Admittedly, my perfectionism has been getting in the way of progress. I had this grand vision of what I wanted the restaurant to look like before I turned on the grills and opened the doors to the public. But the reality of the situation is the doors need to be open and we need to be feeding you. And I can focus on making my additional dreams a reality once we’re up and running.

I want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to my inner circle that have been instrumental in helping me through this journey, helping me make this decision - and really, helping me come to my senses. I hope someday I can repay the favor! The Salt & Pepper Boys are back with a quick update. Now that I’m writing this, maybe we’ll go by The SPG Boys 🤷🏻‍♂️🤓 because it just makes sense.

As much as this hurts right now, we’re gonna have to press pause on the burgers until we can get some sure footing for our next step. There are a lot of moving parts at play here, so we appreciate you sticking with us while we figure things out.

Just know that ALL OF YOU, your love, your gratitude, your kind words, and your support are the reasons why I’m not ready to throw in the towel. Even when things are unnecessarily difficult.

So, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. And thank you guys for believing in me and what we’ve created. This community means more to me than any of you may ever realize.

Like many of you have said - ONWARD AND UPWARD! 💜 Love you guys!!!

Finally got both of the custom neon OPEN signs hung and fired up - and they look great! Cannot say enough good things about Camille and the work he does at The Neon Shop in Lyncourt. He’s got one more project he’s working on for us that’s really going to bring the dining room to the next level.

Cannot wait to share this space with y’all!

If you want to make a great meal, whatever it is, you’ve got to have a great foundation. That’s pretty obvious to me. And I’m all for letting people have fun with the food they’re creating - just don’t come at me with onion rings and bbq sauce on your burger without expecting some level of judgement 💁🏻‍♂️

With that being said - if your favorite burger spot can’t execute simple on a high level (meat, cheese, seasoning, and bun), is what you’re eating really about the burger? Or is it about the condiments and they’re treating the beef like an afterthought?

I’m not trying to shame anyone for liking what they like - unless it’s onion rings and bbq sauce on their burger 😆 I just feel like there isn’t an abundance of restaurants in the Syracuse area that are interested in elevating their craft, or even taking the time to perfect the simple things. And I want our local restaurant community to do better - for all of our guests! Because I do whole heartedly believe that you guys deserve better from our community, and that’s why we’re here making the push!

We’re a little late to the party - but this On The Smash collaboration burger is pure beefy bliss!

We start with one of our world famous wagyu smash patties, then we add a slab of super tender brisket, and we top it with , chow-chow, & dijon mustard. It’s just as heavenly as it sounds. But don’t take our word for it - come in and grab one of these before they’re gone!

Available for lunch on 5/14 & 5/15 at - 3600 Court Street in Lyncourt. 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
