Just want to make an appreciation post for our friend Michael D Pinto Jr.

Mike has become a regular at Get Smashed since we started doing pop-ups on the sidewalk across the street from the new restaurant back in July. Quietly, Mike has become one of my favorite parts about our weekends outside, and I truly never saw it coming. Our banter is always great, the laughs are never in short supply, and Mike is always so quick to lend a hand - even when nobody is looking. His vibes are genuine, and we all love how much he’s obsessed with Halloween & scary movies.

Mike: thanks for being such a kind soul - and for being so great to us! You make Eastwood a better place just by being here.

In the first picture, you can see Mike checking out our totally ADA compliant bathroom - and giving it his stamp of approval. I even asked him to do a 360 in there just to make sure he had enough room. But, we’ll wait for codes to give it the full green light.

The second photo was something I saw being carried around the neighborhood recently that just screamed Mike’s name aloud to me - and I knew he had to have it: a Friday the 13th themed 12 pack of PBR. Now I’m not totally sure if he’s a PBR fan or not - but I just wanted to let him know that he’s loved and appreciated by us. And the look he gave me when I gave him that gift let me know those feelings landed.

Yes, I know - it’s a long one! (Insert Glen Quagmire “Giggity” here) but this is an issue that needed to be addressed. And I know there’s a lot of you that won’t read multiple paragraphs of information on the internet, so I figured “Why not make a 10 minute video about it that nobody is going to watch” 😅

TL;DR - Square transactions (our current Point of Sale) may have been showing up on your credit card or bank records as the restaurant we started at. It happened because I forgot to update the address, and didn’t know it was happening until last week. The problem has been resolved, but there’s a chance it might take a billing cycle or two for your bank to catch up if you’ve made a purchase with us before. This wasn’t intentional by any means - and I apologize for any confusion, frustration, or problems this may have caused anyone.

Also, if you read the comment that brought all of this to light - it’s worth mentioning that I’m not suing anyone. If I were, it would be public record, and you’d be able to find it very easily. So I’m not sure if the commenter misheard someone or what the case is, but that couldn’t be farther from reality. So I’d just like to go on the record to make that clear.
