The final part of quiche-making is always the most satisfying. The shell is blind baked, removed from the oven, and the dry ingredients are added.

Then, the custard is poured into the shell and sprinkled with freshly-ground nutmeg.

Back into the oven for a half-hour, and bon appétit!

Rhubarb season is coming to an end, but there’s still time to grab one of our remaining strawberry rhubarb pies.

Crumbly ginger-cardomom struessel, tart rhubarb filling with local strawberries. Doesn’t get much better than that.
