Long post incoming……
Let’s recap this weekend:
1. Friday night after working a full day it was time to put together a cannoli cake. First time making a cannoli cake btw. Made it east coast style with rum simple syrup infused cake layers. All goes well UNTIL I make the cannoli filling….they tell you to squeeze the heck out of it with cheesecloth for a reason 🤦🏻♀️ well, I didn’t, and got a soupy mess! The entire bowl of ricotta and marscapone went in the trash and off to Safeway I went to try again….. second time worked (thank god!) Cannolis purchased from My Daddy’s Italian bakery Saturday morning before pickup.
2. Cake number 2 had no issues, just LOTS of gold painting!
3. The cupcakes - THE CUPCAKES I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT!! Yes, pic 3 is the text with my client this morning…UGH! Well, I always wondered what it would be like to be on cupcake wars, and now I know! Made 2 dozen cupcakes, half chocolate and half vanilla and then 3 colors of buttercream as requested. Delivered those bad boys 9 minutes after the part started! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
4. Two set of cookies for Saturday that I forgot to take out of the freezer Friday night. Thank god they thawed by party time for both clients.
5. Did 5 dozen of my nephews wedding cookies on Saturday.
I will sleep and relax at the end of October….
The moral of this novel is…IM A HOT MESS!!😂
